Permanent ban

So my friend was just permabanned the other day for toxicity, which is understandable to an extent. The reason i say that is because it was a first offense, I've been playing with this person since pre-season after season 2. This person has never gotten a warning message and has never been chat banned or 2 week banned or anything prior to this. I've been looking at all the boards lately and people trying to re appeal bans but i can understand after seeing their chat logs why they were. Now I'm not saying he wasn't toxic because that game specifically was pretty bad. Yet I don't understand the permanent ban on their account. I have friends who have gotten a couple two week bans and chat bans on top of it through season 3 and 4 yet they were given the opportunity and have cleaned up and haven't had them since then. Yet this person has never been warned or banned and i do agree that there should be punishment but not this extreme considering riot says the ban system isn't meant to be a permanent punishment but instead to be an opportunity for reform, and a perma ban on first offense doesn't seem like they gave this player much of an opportunity? I don't know if I am allowed to release the players name but if i am i will post it later in the thread, im just hoping for him to get another chance. Thank you to anyone who actually took the time to read over this and any moderator willing to review it to try his case again. Also please no hate comments saying things such as "oh well they deserved the ban and toxic players shouldn't be allowed to play anyways"

Permanent Suspensions are given out generally in one of two cases. The first one, as you're aware, is when a player does not reform after previous warnings and punishments. The second one is in situations of extreme toxicity. This could include homophobia, racism, threats, etc. Do you know if your friend's chat logs would fall under one of these escalated categories?

i got permanently banned just recently and i didn't say anything to deserve it. in fact i was harassed by a premade of 3 in ranked and they all reported me because they thought it would be funny. even when i appealed it i got an automated message saying they dont unban permanent bans. not only that but my chat logs show that i was being harassed and even asked in my chat logs for riot to look at the entire logs of me being harassed but they didnt becuase they dont care about their customers.

He should have received an email detailing the reason for his ban. It could have been something as simple as a chargeback, which can be sorted out. Have him find the email first. If he needs to contest the ban or inquire on it he can submit a Support Ticket.

He did get the email with the one reason and it was just one game that he had been reported for, that was the only time he's ever gotten a report message after a game for anything, I've just seen people say some realllllly bad stuff and get out with a 2 week ban, so I'm unsure of why he didn't get the same.
