Matched with reported people.

Why is it possible that you get matched with people you have reported.

My example of the last game, is where I had a 3 man premade who were dragging along a toplaner that insists on splitpushing, and fighting only when outnumbered. No participation in teamfights, no succes in split pushing, the enemy would drive us 4 back, then come to kill him. He didnt' get a turret in 30+ minutes of splitpushing.

When I had the audacity of actually pointing out how this strategy wasn't working, he ensued to egg the opponents on to report me for being toxic.

Ofcourse after the game I report him. Que up a handfull of seconds later after looking at post game screen.

Guess what? I get the same 3 guys, he bans my go to pick on that position to spite me, and instantly tells me "F*ck you"

So...how is it reasonable that the system doesn't take into account that you're not very likely willing to play with the people you've reported. Especially when they can come back to spite you some more, just like they did last game.

That doesn't seem to be a very healthy thing really.

Because Riot isn't crazy enough to give us any modicum of control over the game's matchmaking system. The community cannot be trusted. If reports could alter the system, the chances are really good players would have to wait a long time for a game because they'd be reported simply for being the better player.

That's why I wait a few minutes after a game to queue up, so my chances of getting into a game with people I just played with are less likely. Even if I came off of a really good game, with good and fun people, just because they might expect me to do well again, and I would be really bummed out if I let them down.

This would be heavily abusable by players with malicious intent. Matchmaking has very few “edits” that it makes - the only one is autofill, which arguably isn’t even an edit to the player pool given that you are still being matched with players of similar skill.

There is no method for you to alter the available summoner pool that you may be matched with in League.

Overwatch briefly had a version of this, and it caused havok in the matchmaking system.

Sympathy for your bad luck with getting the same jerks twice. In the future, try taking a few minutes break between games when that happens.

Thanks for the very reasonable responses (thats more than I mostly expect) so yea!

I hadn't thought of high level players abusing this. I kind of figured, that other than the highest of the high, there's a neigh infinite number of players. thats why it hadn't really taken foot with me that it might not be so for higher ups. As well as not really taking into account that i'm personally a person of integrity, but a lot of people gladly would sacrifice that trait for some easy LP I guess.

And yea, funnily enough, I did kind of wait a few minutes before que-ing. It was bad luck at it best, it just seemed like a very avoidable problem ya know?

Oh well, thanks for the insight guys =)
