Friendly reminder of your toothfairy
Your = Possession You're = You are = To be
Hello, _____ shoelace is open. (Your) Hello, _____ wearing a nice skirt today. (You're)
This is one of the basics of speaking English. I myself am not a native Englishspeaker, but I'm seeing this confusion between Your and You're too much and it's REALLY not that hard.
You guys can tell an ADC from the other apart, so it shouldn't be hard to remember that You're means You'(a)re. Revisit the sentence you're about to write BEFORE you send your message.
You're shoelace is open? I am shoelace is open? That can't make sense. Your wearing a nice skirt today? My wearing a nice skirt today?
There are some words so rarely spoken that even I need to look them up sometimes, but Your and You're is entry level of the English language. I hope I was able to help some of you people, because I see this mistake regularly on the forums. I won't bat an eye if you write something improperly, hell, I write a TON of stuff that doesn't make sense to a native Englishspeaker because I was just not born and raised in English-speaking countries, but that doesn't stand out as much as the gap between Your and You're. They sound similiar, but mean totally different things.
Have a nice day
