So tired of people losing on purpose.

And every time its the same reason, "its just a game". And yet, these people throw the game on purpose wasting all their teammates time. And of course they dont get reported as they should because the other team think its great, but then turn around and complain when it happens to them.

Ban these people. You dont like it when they are on your team, then report them when they are on the others.

Lol alright just had to get that out.

FYI, it doesn't require everyone to report them to get the system to review their actions.

Punishments are also not dealt based on number of reports.

Finally, asking for reports can be considered as a harassment and you could be punished for it.

I am also very tired of the same attitude in Flex ranked. Had a game where the person never played Fiora before and went 0-7 in lane phase. When I asked if it's his first time w/champ he said yes. When I suggested he not do that in ranked and try new champ in norms he responded "LoL if you care so much go play solo duo, dude it's flex idc...." I reported but still frustrating.

I had a game yesterday where there was one player who worked so hard to get all of his lanes going. But once the late game got around, he decided to just call it quits, say he's bored and that the other team won. At the time they only had 1 turret taken to our 7. Scaling slowed down our momentum on top of his refusal to play as serious as he was. His latter few plays featured throwing himself at the enemy team, complaining that we weren't grouping around our bot laner (in a 1-3-1 split), and some negative attitudes and ping spam. We won the game off of a rather effective pincer.

Through the game I kept my mouth shut after some reasoning got ignored. Post game he had left immediately and our team explained to the others why we reported him (I was already reporting). Some cases, yeah it's just a game. It sucks when player's attitudes change so drastically on a whim.

Report them for this. Under the additional comments box, when it lets you type any extra information, specifically put that the player threw the game on purpose. It does not require multiple people in the game to report them for it to be reviewed by the system. Your report is enough to flag the game.

I don't have the client up at the moment, but I believe the first report category is the Negative Attitude/Griefing one. That is the one that I would use. Obviously, if they are not saying anything toxic, you wouldn't use the verbal abuse or hate speech categories. And if they aren't leaving the game, you wouldn't report for afk. But by intentionally letting the enemy team get stronger, or win the game, they are griefing the team and it is reportable.

This articlefrom Player Support does reference some aspects of the old client/gameplay (rip mana pots) but you can see that purposefully losing and refusing to participate are things that Riot has long-since considered reportable. We've all had that champion who sits in base dancing while the enemy is taking our inhibitors. It's actually something that Riot has addressed.

It may seem like players get away with this sort of thing more often than the toxic chat behavior, as it's not as common for someone to end up here posting that they were banned for this sort of thing. But keep in mind that it is a bit harder for the system to "prove" these behaviors. It's not quite as easy to verify that a player was intentionally throwing a game as it is to verify that they used racial slurs. And rather than punish innocent players for making mistakes, the system does try to make sure that it has a decent amount of evidence prior to handing out a punishment. But if a player is reported for this consistently, they will be punished for it.
