Fun proposal on how to increase effectiveness in fighting toxic behaviour!

We have all had them in ouir games already:

  • "Reporting wont help you, [racial slur]"
  • "Riot wont ban me, i bought way too many skins"
  • "troll. report me if you want riot wont do [fecal language]"

And while i always say "dont announce your reports and mutes", i have had a much better idea to combat this behaviour.

Riot could release a daily number of Euros/Dollars permanently made inaccessible through permabans & display that number every time you open up the report window and everytime someone is hit by any sort of restriction that coulld be escalated to a ban.

If people see

**"Today we permabanned $12560 worth of toxic summoners. Your skins are safe with us now." **

they are not gonna walk around with that "fuck summoners code" attitude any more. I think the "free" skins from hextech that would count into that number aswell even increase the pain of having your account banned, even when you havent bought RP (though i rarely see toxic players without skins.. strange correlation).

From a business perspective, this kind of antagonistic behavior isn't going to generate more money.

Nobody wants to be lectured by some British toff in-game. Talk less if people are toxic I rarely see toxic in my games.

This should include the Retards spamming their emotes or mastery ingame to tilt ppl or piss them off cause its the same crap as writing easy or ez.

If you want to tilt your enemy by Trashtalking or spamming this should also count as toxic behaviour.

Cause if you show them that you ban ppl they wont use the chat aynmore but they will go and tick ppl off.

Or they ban someone who didn't have skins until they bought their account on (NOT MENTIONING THE WEBSITE). You know that one website where you can BUY an account. I don't think I'm making it clear. WHEN YOU BAN PLAYERS YOU OPEN UP BUYERS FOR BLACK MARKET ACCOUNTS. YOU'RE NOT ACTUALLY PUNISHING THEM, YOURE REWARDING MACROS, HACKERS, AND THIEVES.

GG this conversation.

I think your making it Very clear! Have you reported that site in a private ticket ?

The ideal that players buy accounts are real, the thing is Riot needs to ( I believe are) going to shut them down.

Actually, what you are talking about is a criminal offence!... Meaning they may not shut it down quick because of legal maneuvering! I'm not talking about one person selling their account. This is still a crime and Could be prosecuted in my city, just unlikely.

What I am saying is although it is a game and on the internet does Not exclude it from being a REAL crime...If someone operates a web site selling LOL accounts, they could very well be on their way to Jail! And God forbid it is in a common wealth state !!

I recently made a thread talking about why we need to see more real-time information about bans to show people that the system does work and to try to educate players out of toxic behaviours.

The kind of information that you are talking about (value of accounts banned) would go very well with that kind of statistics that I was talking about there.

That wouldn't do anything to stop toxicity. And this entire notion that you can stop "toxicity" in an online competitive game is laughable.

my freind has never seen any one banned for this nor have i when checking the board "meh ban" posts if you want to curb toxicity then start by focusing the right issues

Not a bad idea.

One thing -> Riot do care . They are humans not robots. I think the idea is funny but as an implementation to the game system no , maybe doing a sublink into a forum that would be possible for them and easier to handle but not introducing that into the client itself lol . Not bad idea tho.

Then they will accuse Riot of throwing out fake numbers since there is no real way for riot to prove it
