Banned from one game chat log

I am not disputing any previous actions on my account, but I had worked off previous honor lock. I was just banned because a premade of 3 people reported me for the following chat log:

I was being harassed the entire game and this is the entirety of what I was banned for. It is completely ridiculous this triggered a 14 day suspension. Like genuinely this is beyond ridiculous that people who intentionally grief their team aren't penalized because the report system can't tell who is "having a bad game" or just intentionally griefing, but this is apparently ban worthy?

When it says "Your account has been suspended until x because of ABUSIVE, player reported comms" I find it hard to believe this is considered abusive by any standard. I get honored in at least 50% (probably more like 90% because I often play adc a lot) of my games by one or more people. Like am I crazy here, is this really what people are getting banned for in this game now a days or am in I right feeling like this is ridiculous?

Sorry but this does not meet the criteria which my player card claims was the reason for punishment: ABUSIVE player comms.

You were toxic so you got punished, it doesnt matter of 1 person or a 9-man premade reports you.

  1. You had be punished before so it was/is very easy to get punished again.

  2. Premades don't matter, it only takes one report to trigger the system to check your account

  3. Asking for reports is a bannable offense

  4. Should hav just muted them, played out the match, then reported them post game without saying a word.

So ye, be careful going forward to avoid getting perma'd

It doesn't matter that they were a 3 man premade. 1 report does the exact same thing as 3 reports: flags the game for review

What punishments have you had before? If you have had a 25 game chat restriction, the next punishment is a 14 day ban

It's not that it's "ban worthy", it's that it's "punishment worthy" and the next punishment for you is a 14 day ban And the next punishment after that is a permanent ban

Whatever you said in the past put you under a microscope pure and simple as that. If you never had a chat restriction, this chat would have been ignored. Just turn off chat, it is not worth it. You want to make sure the people that are being toxic get reported? just report everyone for verbal at the end of a game.

I'm an eLawyer and all I can say is that the above comment is only partly correct and that reporting every person every game will get you in trouble as well as making your reports carry a LOT less leverage. Reports for quick action currently seem to require large amounts in a short period so you are gonna have to take the L and make a new account fam.

So you've taken a step forward and avoided being toxic. But just being non-toxic isn't enough. Blaming your teammates or asking for reports also gets you punished. It gets under the category of being 'Negative'. I'm sorry OP. Those are the current Riot rules. The strange thing is that being an abusive racist mongrel or asking for a report on someone being the racist abusive mongrel- they both get a CR for both parties. Does that help you understand how things work? Similar to your situation. Flamers flaming you. You asking for reports on flamers or blaming them. You both get punished for it! And, in your case if you were on your last legs. Then you shouldn't have been using Chat whatsoever!

The best way to avoid any punishment is to not chat. Esp. if you're on the verge of getting perma'd. Mute and report at the end.
