Banned for Scripting

Hi,

I've had my account since early 2010 and haven't played regularly on it in probably 6+ years. If you look at my match history it's most likely 99% ARAM + Bot games + the special gametype that rotated weekly. I did play 2 ranked games during my last play session a little over 2 months ago and I played mediocre on EZ as far as I can see.

I just patched the game after 2+ months of not opening the client and found that my account has been banned for 3rd party/scripting. I've never known of any bots, hacks, or scripts to help in ARAMs, but I'd imagine it's some false positive. I have never shared my account info, why would I I'm a low skill player with no ranked experience in 7+ years, and I don't believe my account was accessed by someone who maliciously gained my password based on my match history. I rarely talk in chat and have not been toxic or said anything that would violate any kind of TOU in 7+ years.

I've spent quite a bit of money on skins, champions, and other items back when runes were still a thing and Annie was my main (I had purchased almost every Annie skin available back then). This is more of a sentimental value case, I don't play that often anymore but LoL was a huge part of fun in my life in 2010-13, and I'd prefer not to lose that.

I've created a ticket with Riot Support and am now waiting but I'm posting to find out how common this is?

I've seen a few other forum posts about this and looking at the OPs recent match history it looks like the players were generally unbanned.

Thanks

Either your account was compromised by someone you don't know (not very likely), or it was compromised by someone you do know, and considering there's a 6-year(!) gap, you may not remember sharing your password with someone, or it's possible someone you know was able to guess it.

Either way, you're going to need to wait for support to answer you and then they'll work with you to prove your account was yours and that you didn't willingly let someone use it (which is against the terms of service).

As an update for anyone wondering if they do get their accounts back or not, I was unbanned through my ticket immediately.
