Extremely toxic player didn't get banned, does riot ignore tickets or what's going on here.

I got this guy in my game with his premade, in the middle of the game, out of nowhere he started being extremely toxic. Like, to the point where it's not ok. He said he'd skullfuck my mother and finger my deadnan, insinuating he'd kill my mother and have his way with her skull. I wasn't able to report him post game because of the simple fact that I didn't want to play league anymore, I actually uninstalled it. I sent tickets after tickets to riot explaining the situation, I even sent a damn screenshot of him saying those exact things. What do I get? A "we're investigating it".

Oh, haha, I forgot to mention a very important detail. A few hours later, I installed league because my friend wanted to play, we get in champ select and I see the exact same guy there with his premade, he hasn't been banned yet, and that's just amazing riot. Imagine someone saying they'd kill your mother and fuck her skull and riot not banning that person.

Honestly, I don't know why I expect much from a company that is incredibly sexist and toxic to the core. "Parents that aren't disciplined can't discipline their children".

EDIT: I deleted a part of the post because of people not being able to understand comparisons and how to read in-between the line. So I thought more people might make the same mistake.

  1. Toxicity is not an automatic ban, unless you trip the zero tolerance filters. 1.1. "Kill" is not part of the zero tolerance, due to the countless legitimate-use cases in League. He'd simply be punished for regular toxicity, which is only a 10 game mute, and only would occur with enough frequency and severity.
  2. You have the post-game report tool. Putting in a ticket afterwards when you already reported them for that exact crap is pointless. 2.1. Riot support is not going to escalate your report higher just because you put in a ticket, unless there's legitimate concern in something that warrants escalation. Your case isn't any more special than the other tends of thousands they get a day. 2.2. Riot support is not going to tell you any details of whether or not they get punished, per their policy. The full extent of what they'll tell you is that they take it seriously and they'll look into it.
  3. Your "comparison" only works when it's remotely comparable. You're asking for the death penalty for someone stealing a TV.

The job of tier1 support agents is to put the report into a review queue. So the support staff did their job. For all we know, the dude probably didn't even get reviewed yet.

unfortunately yes. they do. you send in support tickets but it's the same cut and paste response. they tell you what you want to here, even if it is a lie, then tell you that they cannot inform you if the player in question was punished or not. basically they indirectly tell you to go fuck yourself.

If a stranger comes up to a cop and shows them a picture of their subordinates killing a person

Nobody got murdered. You encountered someone being an asshole in a video game. These are not the same things.

Unless the person used zero-tolerance phrases (homophobia, racism, self-harm), they're not going to get insta-banned for any of this, despite how tasteless it is.

Imagine someone saying they'd kill your mother and fuck her skull and riot not banning that person.

I'd laugh at them for not being more creative in their insults.

Was he talking in the game or was he quiet? If he was quiet or only said a few things in the chat (like limited or restricted) then yes he was punished. That's awful though, I'm really sorry you dealt with that. I bet you weren't the only one though. Retry again and hopefully you get a different person.
