How is this not bannable?

I pick Yasuo as my pick intent and this guy purposely bans Yasuo in a ranked game. Then once in game this guy feeds and doesn't give a shit about winning. He says that he could care less. The sad part is I suspect he was a smurf account so he truly didn't care what so ever. He also forced another player to afk because they just got sick of it.

How is this even fucking fair? I mean you can literally troll before the game starts and you would not get banned. Because you do not get punished for trolling before the game starts. And you can argue "Oh it was his turn to ban and he can ban whoever he wants". But that makes no sense why have pick intent if your own teammates are gonna hurt you? And it's not necessarily Yasuo. It can be any champion as long as its within our own team.

Then once you are in the game you can just mute everyone, and do whatever you like, feed as much as you want, as long as you make it look like you are not "intentionally" feeding and then if you get reported you would still not be banned. Because the evidence would suggest the player was just bad rather than trolling. This is a joke. There are over 30 million people playing this game. Of course there will be tons of mentally ill people playing this game in an attempt to ruin it for others.

What this game needs is strict tactics to resolve these problems

I think that 3 things that can be done to permanently counter this and weed out the truly toxic and malicious individuals is by having: voice chat, replays and IP bans/1 account per IP policy.

Now before you say "Oh with voice chat people will just curse and be more toxic". You need to understand that with voice chat you are being recorded and thus the evidence becomes much more clear as to who is being toxic and who is legitimately trying to win. And with voice chat a lot of players aren't as rude because then they will have to speak and think on their feet rather than sit back and type insults. Not to mention voice chat just fosters team work.

The second thing is replays. Voice chat would not do much without replays. Because then with replays you can connect not only what the person was saying but what he was doing. Actions speak louder than words so sometimes you will have a guy who is swearing is ass off but he is legitimately trying to win while another player may be being polite but he is purposely trolling and you can see it right away with replays combined with voice chat.

The last thing would be the inclusion of IP bans/1 account per IP address. These days there are so many smurfs. Smurfs of players who have been perma-banned and just won't quit and smurfs of players that just feel like starting fresh. With having IP bans along with their account being banned it would further reduce the number of malicious people that rejoin after a perma-ban. Same with 1 account per IP policy. It would reduce the number of smurfs in general. Now I know a lot of people might say oh they could change their IP address and come back and its not hard to do it. But regardless it would prevent a lot of people that would rather than go thru the trouble of flushing their DNS or trying to find a way around the IP ban which would still discourage the smurfs from popping up.

It is bannable, especially since he admits he did it on purpose. Not quite sure why you think its not reportable. To be fair though there are some people who just doesnt want to see a certian champion. For me i hate Blitz. i dont want to see him in my games and if i can ban i will ban him. With that said if and only IF our side is first pick and someone pick intents i wont ban him. Sadly some people arent that nice to at the very least talk about it.

Now since i cannot see the game i dont know if he was intentionally feeding or if he was just bad. but no one should have their account taken from them just from one bad game. This is why it usually takes a lot to get ban from this game because there needs to be evidence to back up their claim. Also note people do get ban for trolling or trying to cheat the system. Granted its hard to catch, but they will get caught eventually. You underestimate how much games are played daily. To catch every single person trolling/feeding is damn near impossible.

As for your solutions. those just wont work. if something as simple as that was not only easy, but could be implemented as well it would already be in the game. IP banning wont do anything. people change their IP all the time, and with things like college campus, internet cafe all sharing one IP you are basically going to get a lot of innocent people ban because of one person.

Voice chat would only work if they use it. so how would this help with people trolling/feeding? it would help with toxic chat, but we already have a solution for that.

Replays would be nice, but it would cause too much stress on the servers. Again you are underestimating how much games are being played. Let alone the manpower needed for someone to review these replays.

I actually really like these ideas. Wish I could upvote more than once. :)

I think replays would be an excellent idea, even without the voice chat. There is an application you can download that lets you record certain parts of your match with the press of a button (my husband has it, but I don't have it on my computer), but it only saves to your device. I suppose there would be a way to upload those clips to the internet, but it only plays from your perspective.

Riot has access to the chat logs from the matches we play, but sometimes situations can be weird or difficult, and if a summoner is only judged off what is recorded in the chat log, they might not be punished appropriately. With video replays available, it would be easier to show exactly what happened and they will be able to get what punishment is rightfully theirs.

Another situation that would benefit from this is when toxic players are trolling and telling the other team to report an ally because of false reasons. I know that most of this could be proven in chat, but when an adc is complaining about their support not being there for them, or not doing their job right, the chat AND the replay would be there to show exactly what's going on, whether that complaining player is right or not.

I believe that video replays would be amazing, and it would help the LOL community play a cleaner, more entertaining game.

Like the person above me said, anybody is allowed to ban anything and that's not a bannable offense. Feeding and admitting to it is and that person SHOULD be banned for feeding on purpose but not because he banned ur pick. I personally always ban yasuo whether my team picks him or not, I detest that champion and I don't want to risk having a yasuo on my team or enemy since yasuo is feast or famine type of champion.

RITO logic:

Griefing good - cursing bad!

If there were real punishments don't you think people would think twice before griefing a teammate?
