Permaban affecting other accounts?

Hey guys, I just got permabanned on my smurf account which I played for 7 years, and i can tell you that I deserved it.

After i got the notification I went immediately to my main and added one of the teammates from the last game of my smurf that got me banned and told him that i got permabanned, just for fun to see his reaction. He said that he made another ticket with a screenshot of my main account to get it banned too.

Now I am really scared of Riot permabanning my main as well even though I have never been toxic on it and even got Honor 5 for 3 years. So I just wanted to ask if someone knows if that is possible? Or any experiences with it?

If yes then its karma and my fault

Riot has not ID banned you. They have no reason to ban your other account just because a stranger told them something. Anyway, don't talk to people just to harass them, you have nothing to gain from it.

It is technically possible for Riot Support to utilize the fact two accounts are owned by the same player to escalate punishments on the other one. As one example, it appears from people who post here that known smurf accounts (unknown how this is detected or determined exactly) are punished harder and faster if they are misbehaving as a "new account" than would be an established account.

Whether they will do this.... I'm not sure. They do make clear that a permanent ban is not an end to your League life, just that account - but at the same time Riot HQ discourages players from returning. As such, it's anyone's guess whether, if support knew that it was a new account of a permanently banned player and saw more misbehavior on the new account if they would escalate directly to a new permanent ban.

ouch.

they definitely can. especially since you found it prudent to harass someone you already believe to have gotten you in trouble. Good luck but you're probably fucked.

So wait, you added a person you flamed bad enough to get perma banned.... Isn't that something akin to stalking. Like ohh hey guy you think you've stoped me from flaming, well guess again. Heres my other account on which I can flame on too.

HAHA i have the last laugh

The chances of your main account getting banned because of your smurf is very mild (depends on what you did and how bad it was). Based on this situation i don't think your main will be banned. A few screenshots and a stranger's word will definitely not be taken seriously, EXCEPT there is a chance that your "other" accounts be flagged which they will take a close look at. Consider this a lesson that toxicity doesn't bring you anywhere.
