Forced Chat Filter/Block

There are plenty of games that use this feature, where you say something that is part of a filtered list. This replaces the current list of words you shouldn't say by not sending your message and message packets to the server. A message in the chat would say something along the lines of "Word(s) contained are forbidden by our Terms of Use." or something along those lines. Having this would filter out a lot of the extreme directs and keep the game a lot cleaner. Sure there are ways to get around it but IFS would make it so most of this is at least punished for if evaded. Quite a few of players are banned for saying the wrong thing, so why not prevent them from saying it all around?

When you prevent players from using specific words, they will simply expressing their anger in frustration in other ways Eventually you either run out of words to add to the list, you end up blocking legitimate words in the name of toxicity, you end up with people trolling or griefing, or some combination of these.

Swearing is not punishable. Being an asshat in chat is what gets people punished, and that can be done without a single swear word.
