Is the reporting system not good enough?

Hey,

So I know that the reporting system after the game does its best to filter out the worst of the players, but sometimes, I feel like it doesn't do the job well enough. Even though these guys were reported by everyone on the team, I doubt they'll be reprimanded and if they do all that will come of it is most likely a chat ban.

Chat bans, in my opinion do work the majority of the time (I have had friends who have had them and noticed them think more about what they're saying), but when people step too far over the line I feel like more permanent and punishable consequences should be put in place.

Hopefully these players will be chatbanned, but I just wanted to highlight the negative experience we had in game on here, just incase it wasn't picked up through tribunal.

People already do get more than a chat ban for this. Chat related punishments escalate as follows:

10-game chat restriction 25-game chat restriction 14-day ban Permanent ban

For severe cases, they may skip the chat restriction and go straight to the 14-day ban, and on rare instances (for example, telling someone to kill themselves) it will go straight to a permaban.

Also, you should redact the names of the other players in that screenshot. "Naming and shaming" will get your post or thread deleted on boards.

People will never be happy with the system, you can't please everyone and we have prior proof showcasing that as much as this place complains about toxicity, it doesn't fully want to take steps to fix it.
