The community is a mess

I've been playing for many years , even though I've been taking large breaks. But this season to me seems the worst so far regarding the general state of the community. What has gone wrong? The game is FULL, and by full I mean literally FULL of people who are negative 24/7, are eager to surrender at the first possible chance, keep writing " go next" " ff 15" "I'm done" "x lane is done" in the chat, make mistakes on purpose to make the game end faster (while avoiding the Instant Feedback System), bait flamers into flaming them while not doing something directly banworthy (usually that consists of following people around, stealing camps, letting people die on purpose - all these are not punishable, yet destroy games and other teammates' mentalities, or even being passive aggresive in the chat). I haven't had a single team in the past 3 days where I didn't report someone due to their stealth trolling or their attitude. It's almost reached the point where I skip reporting flamers and end up reporting those who TRULY ruin the game experience. I can mute flamers, what can I do for the guy who refuses to play on purpose while avoiding the IFS? The culprit possibly is the snowball nature the game ended up developing. All my ranked games so far have 3 possible outcomes:

  1. We roflstomp them
  2. They roflstomp us
  3. The game drags out to like 30-35 mins where a tilted person in either team ends up throwing the game.

There is no middle ground. It's just tilt, tilt, tilt. I rarely use the chat anymore simply because I don't think it's that useful, past the usual positive behavior crap, which barely works when you have people in your team fighting each other 24/7. To me it looks like people are playing to either snowball or argue with their team 24/7.

I'm at a loss on what could be done to improve this madness.

Nothing you can change about it bud. If the community was toxic for a decade then what guarantee's they'll stop before the end of the ride comes.

Couldn't agree more. In the end, any free-to-play game company has to strike a balance between making money/maintaining a large player base, and losing money/policing that player base. Personally, I'd rather have a game with fewer players and an adult community, but I wouldn't be making much money, either.

I'd like to see them give the community policing rights, without the mess the Tribunal apparently was.

I think they real problem in League is that someone that runs after you takes your camps, denies your cs or tells the enemy team where you are on the map or stuff like picking bard and then ulting the person so the enemy team can kill them is seen as "Ups yeah had a bad game" and people get away with it and most of the people are so stressed out and just done with league that most of the time instead of playing a game out which is shit cause like you said its either stomp or eternity .. they play the next one and hope that they get a better game.

And tbh not only these Angel-Trollers are a problem.

The Gamemodes are fucked up too. You cant play ranked because there are people who play champs the first time and play stuff they saw on youtube. ( not to mention that you get lp by your team and not on individual skill, cause "If you are good enough you will surely climb" NOT TO MENTION THAT YOU NEED TO PLAY A SICK AMOUNT OF GAMES FOR THAT cough cough). And in normals there is the genius matchmaking like 4 silver and one diamond against 5 middletear gold players .. which is either a 4 man stomp where the silver guys have no fun and the diamond guy wants to break his pc .. or the diamond guy destroys all the golds and they want to quit League. So you cant have really fun in ranked cause people wont tryhard ... and in normals you get tryhards where you want to play for fun xD

Not to mention the good old HEHE xd im Dia 4 and since i cant climb i make a smurfaccount and destroy games for people in low elo HEHE xd.

Game in a Nutshell is Chaos but everybody plays it since he is addicted to it. Even if you quit you probably come arround again 1 year later since its popular, many people play it and somehow you want to kill time. Not to mention that the Style of League is kinda Unique ( not to mention Dota and stuff ) and if you put a lot of hours and money in you dont want to throw that all away.

Should't come as a surprise to you. More people playing league of legends now than ever. More people=more noobs who have a poor understanding of the game.

It's sad to say a majority of players on league are casual players who have no clue how to itemize, play their champs, late game marco and coordinate with their team.

best thing to do, dont take things seriously. It only goes downhill after you give into your anger luke.
