Trolling is becoming a Serious Issue.

Hi guys I am about to lose my fcking mind!!!! The last 4 games I have played Have been an absolute Joke. I am on the edge of leaving League for good because of trolling. On top of that my last game all my teammates were lower than lvl 80 and the team I was put up against were all above lvl 100 some were on 150 plus minus between the opposing team all around that range. How am I supposed to play solo duo when every game I play there's players who are taking mid and Jungling in Ranked games or even better just deciding to move to another lane and leave their own lane. The game has Mechanics. This is how the whole team operates together to win. Now when League is matching me up to impossible games What does one do? As much as I would love to solo an entire team. It's just not realistic when the opposing team is 3 or 4 levels ahead of you because they have 5 kills at 15 minutes. Trolling is seriously becoming a major issue in league of legends. I am a paying gamer. I have bought riot points on multiple occasions. But i am considering leaving league completely because of trolling. All I want is a team that will play the game in the position they have selected that doesn't die a hundred times before the game even get's rolling. I am not a star player for sure. No doubt. But I play my position and I support my team and I try improving my game all the time. I don't enjoy League anymore purely because of trolling. Is anything been put in place to sort this issue out?

It's a huge problem, but the problem is waaay to complex to actually solve.

Computers take exact instructions, and how to do you give exact instructions to what inting is?

Sure, you could give it the easy ones: Going 0/40 in a 20 minute game or detecting large amounts of death under the enemy turrets. Those are easy for computers.

But problems begin the second you try to go more complex, like detecting if someone intentionally not casting an ability, or intentionally dying to the enemy laner in a fight. What exact instructions could you give for that? No two fights are alike, and a loss in a fight could be caused by a billion different things.

To you and I, it's sometimes easy to gauge if someone is inting, but to a computer it's virtually impossible with by conventional means.

The actual solution (and the solution Riot is using) to this problem is training an AI to detect inting and trolling. I wont get into the specifics, but it with our current level of technology in AI, this solution has a major problem: Data.

Training AI's for something like this requires INSANE amounts of data. More data than Riot has. Currently, they are mediating the problem by using reports as training data, but due to false reports they have to tune it in a way that even MORE data is required for the system to be efficient.

Aside from this, you also seem confused on how match-making works.

Levels aren't indicative of skill, by any means. The best gauge for skill level is MMR (Matching Making Ranking). Each win you get grants you some MMR, each loss you get, means you lose some MMR. How much you gain or lose is unknown, and it's probably decided by a multitude of different factors.

So just because you are matching with players a higher level than you, doesn't actually mean you aren't put in a fair match. It might just mean that you have higher MMR than the average for your level. Or that the enemy had lower MMR than the average for their levels.

Flamers get banned more often than actual trolls, while they affect the game less. It's pretty ridiculous, Riot should focus on banning inters/griefers because there's already a fucking mute button. You can't mute 0-15.

Riot should put more resources into stop trolling like yeah it is really hard to stop but not impossible and it seems like it is getting way out of hand this season. The worst part is that people will defend trolling based on how a score looks.

Riot can't do anything to change mentality of people and generation. Go out and you will see people who are trolls in game are actually trolls in reality. Its just the generation. I changed to EUW because Europians are less likely to troll but I had high ms. Go to EUW if you have good internet

Anyway, I had this problem too, but I found a way to deal with toxicity for a while now!

1st If you don't have fun at all, take a break! Month or two, really helps.

Hope you don't want to give up this easy (NEVER GIVE UP CAUSE OF BAD PEOPLE!): disable all emotes/enemy chat + you can just just hide chat/mute/report all toxic people, be overall positive even when game goes terribly bad (even when loosing 10 games in a row).. be OK with that and wait for another day.

Always think: How do I win? Think logically instead of emotions.

if you rage or just get angry, it won't make you a better player and those troll/loosers are in fact happy to make you and people like you angry. So be mentally stable! Just chill..

Yes! This game is teamwork and being so closed is sad, but as a player you should adapt... adapt or give up, your choice!

And ofc try to be more self critic, don't play just to play a videogame: play for knowledge/skill and be patient...

Stop playing ranked when tilted, wait for a good mood a day or two later. If overall not performing good. Blame yourself, not teammates, even when minions played that game better than your team. Constantly level up your skills, be consistent!

Try to be MVP every game (main carry champ/role), learn more as you go through (guides/videos/replays...).

supports thinking that the support slot is just another mid lane carry slot is an issue. support = support not support = anything but a support in the support slot..... this happens alot. i have a 50/50 chance of getting a carry in the support slot that is confused about how a support builds... they just build carry and dont even try to build or play like a support for that matter.

you just have to quit and move on to better games, they won't do a damn thing to develop it properly and it's been going downhill since season 6, they are losing players like crazy and whats left is just the toxic trash and people forcing losses on purpose. I never spend a dime on the game anymore and havent for over a year.

100% but apparently the discipline system removes all the bad people flawlessly LMAO riot is a comedy network at this point. The amount of people on this board who support the system (who don't play competitively mind you) as if it can't possible have flaws is the most hilarious part.

I think they just need to perma ban every account from using chat until diamond+. Those proven of trolling in RANKED games should have all accounts linked to that one perma locked from playing in RANKED games.
