Have real people for report system not bots change my mind.

1 ban has the power of 9 as they say. This is some straight bull to the motha stinkin crap and i hope the community knows it. lets get the laughs out the way that im making this post after a chat restiction because im putting all cards on the table so hahaha few more hahaha's okay cool. We have freedom of speech in NA dont we? yet can't defend ourselves in an argument.. especially when its 4 against 1. Why not mute everyone would be a logical solution, but then the game allows people to get away with being toxic as much as they want so you can see yourself as the "bigger person". As i got reported i also reported them and guess what no notifications stating a recent player had been reported... wow big surprise the power of 1 does not even have that of 4. Worse was said to me and less was done for me is what this comapany is showing, and it hurts because this is a great game i enjoy playing as im sure many of you do as well. I fully agree that i reciprocated toxicity out of self defence for feeling i'd been wronged which anyone would do irl if someone verbally came at them. i said nothing that treads upon race family culture or anything of the sort. Riot dont care though if you love league or how many hours and dollars you give them. They let the real toxic players slip through, why and how is becuase they use bots and not real people with real emotions to read a games chat long to see the real story. I love this game so much i'd take the much wasted time of my life getting paid to find out who's really the toxic ones in games. Cause they sure as poo wont... We need real people to defend real people not a bot thats scans a chat and goes "player used term "you're bad"" reports recieved 1-9 (usually on the 1-4 spectrum) "player must be toxic now issuing chat restiction, now issuing 7 day ban". If you've ever been banned chat resticted whatever the case. Would't you want some kind of admin of sorts to talk to and plea your case? someone to really read what went down and be like " oh snap you got flamed hard body and they wanna report you??" " yea i still give you chat restriction, but they getting banned" I want justice for furture offences, i know riot won't do squat for this situation, but if i can get real help for others then it's a win. And again yes muting solves all except the fact that you have to feel down in the gutter for being called unwanted things and can't retaliate or risk losing restictions, bans, or loss of account. We need real people we need eachother to be the real verdict of these chat logs. It's wrong to have to hit "I Understand" when it only shows what you said so does riot truly understand, i sure as poo don't think so.

You have freedom from government consequences (fine/arrest) in NA. You must abide by the rules private companies/individuals set for you when you are on their private property.

The automated system that evaluated reports does not factor number in - your behavior and history is what matters. Your account's history of negative behavior is what led to your punishment, in combination with the severity of your behavior in that game. The other players' accounts were also evaluated for the severity and history of their behavior, and their accounts may not have merited a punishment at that time.

The automated system has been proven to be just as accurate as humans would be (yes, humans fuck up sometimes too), but more consistent (i.e. the fuckups are generally similar and easy to fix even though they are super rare), as well as faster.

Would I prefer real people responsibly looking at the whole chat log of every single report and taking as much time with each case as they need to come to a verdict that is at least as accurate as a bot? Sure.

Is that a feasible solution given the amount of games played and the amount of reports filed? Absolutely not. Especially not if you want people to receive punishment instantly after they exhibit a certain behaviour, which is crucial for reforming players.

  • Riot employs a bunch of people to manually handle all reports
  • Riots wage expense is much larger now
  • Riot makes everything cost more rp to make up for it
  • Riot makes everything cost more be to encourage use of to
  • Now every champion is 6300 BE minimum, and there is nothing that costs less than 1000rp.
  • would that change your mind?

Unrealistic. Paying the wage of hundreds of employees would take millions of dollars just to review reports. Chat is pretty black and white as far as what's against the rules or not, so its not necessary. To be honest though i stopped reading after you mentioned freedom of speech in this context.

Let's have you understand the behavioral system a bit more. Think of it like a health bar (or tension meter) in music games. When you hit the note at an off beat, your tension meter increases. When you completely miss a note, the meter increases by alot. When you hit the note at good timings, it reduces the meter.

Riot's behavior system works the same way, as in we all have a toxicity meter attached to our accounts. When players are mildly toxic, it goes up a tad. When people use hate speech, it pretty much fills up the meter. of course, clean games reduce the meter.

So without knowing the behavioral history of the people you reported, the is no way to know whether the game you reported them exceeded their punishment threshold.

Also, the good thing about using a bot is precisely they can eliminate all emotions when judging a chat. This removes all forms of bias and favoritism, so everyone plays by the same rules.

Freedom of speech? Lmao do you even know what that means? And you still haven't provided any proof of how the human system would be better than the automated one. Because the automated system is a lot faster, more accurate and it doesn't need to be paid. If there were humans working with reports, they would have to be paid which would increase all prizes in league so that they can pay the employees. And it would take a loooong time to review reports because there's millions and millions of reports every day. It would take days for a punishment to be handed out, meanwhile the automated system can just check the game after the report is sent and hand out punishments if needed
