Fix The Ban System

The other day my account was banned for saying (IN GAME) "It's Mine" and then "suck it" after someone called me a [REMOVED BY MODERATION - ULANOPO]. These were the ONLY two things I said the entire game not one sentence more. Post game I told the player I was reporting him for calling me a fa:ggot and him saying KYS to me. He in turn reported me and my account was banned because post game the automated client said I used the word [REMOVED BY MODERATION - ULANOPO]. RIOT needs to fix their automated system from just detecting words such as [REMOVED BY MODERATION - ULANOPO] or GAY etc etc etc. I spoke with the riot employee and they UNBANNED my account because they did agree that I was banned incorrectly due to the automated system. The automated system clearly does not work because it does not detect the context of how you use the word. As long as these derogatory words are typed out and someone reports you, it is an automated ban. The same thing happened to another player I knew.

Not only does this waste our time but it waste the time of RIOT employees when they could be fixing other bigger issues or reports. I understand RIOT is continuing to improve the banning system but this is something they need to look into. Just because a word like [REMOVED BY MODERATION - ULANOPO] is used doesnt mean someones account needs to be banned. I am certain I am not the ONLY miracle child out there that had this issue. We should have the right to tell the other play why we reported them so they can improve their attitude. Reporting without explanation SOMETIMES means they wont understand why they are being banned and will continue to have the same issues.

Please fix the automated ban system or remove it. I think this causes more problems than fixes it. I understand a riot employee cant get to EVERY SINGLE report BUT if an automated system is banning for unjust causes then your adding more work instead of fixing the issues.

please post the complete, unedited chat logs of ALL games on your report card if you want to have a meaningful discussion.

You should be aware that we have a language filter on the boards for a reason and it's not a good idea to try and circumvent it. The only time we allow that slur to remain on the boards is in the context of a chat log that has been copy/pasted for other people to review and comment on. It's more than possible to have a meaningful conversation about that term without using the term itself openly and that's what we expect.

Please, if you're going to say something in your defense by what you said, provide the chat-log. Otherwise, no one is going to be able to relate, debate, or give an opinion. Your words alone is never enough for the board.

How am I supposed to post the chat logs when my account has already been unbanned because it was a mistake?

This is all I can provide. Well you can believe what you want but this is what is shown on my report. Even if I contacted RIOT support this is the exact chat log you would get so believe what you want. I dont need to change anything just to prove what happened. Me telling you what the log is and me providing the exact same log RIOT will provide is pointless. The system needs to be fixed.

By acting diplomatic and calm, I’m now able to bend them to my will without succumbing to the forbidden dance of verbal abuse.

Sometimes it’s best to ignore the mewlings of your teammates and only focus on what you can control. If teammates anger you, try saying so out loud to yourself, not in chat where they can report you. After an annoying game, find a satisfying way to blow off steam. I’m told humans find catharsis in music, so try listening to Mozart or the dulcet sounds of “LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR.”
