Wrongfully Banned for MMR Boosting

I tried to log into my account today and got a notice that I had been banned for MMR boosting. I immediately sent a support ticket in and was told, that my account was banned for MMR boosting but didn't offer any context whatsoever. The only ranked games I have recently are flex games that I duo'd with friends that are also diamond on their smurfs which their is no rule against. I was silver in flex so we were going against mostly silvers, and golds.

Hmmmm. Doesn't play Malzahar the entire season and is plateaued in low Plat. All of a sudden comes back from ranked hiatus and starts spamming Malzahar with a 70% winrate to Diamond 5 then stops playing soloQ again. Yeah "wrongfully banned"

Meanwhile a plethora of famous streamers are straight up boosting Toast live on Twitch every day. No repercussions. [sg-lux-2]

The Email said someone was on your account and had access to your information. So it really had nothing to do with who you played with, but a suspicious login on your account.

Are you sure that you never shared your information with anyone?

Rioter: you were banned for boosting in season 7 and we have done a ban wave for everyone doing so.

280 : 250 win ration over 60% too high. You are beating the win ratio engine by a huge margin. This is very seriouse because matchmaking is built around a 50% win ratio.

It also depends on how quickly you win ratio climbed. Normal progression should always land you around 50%.

Same situation here, like I barely play ranked game, but few months ago I joined my university e-sport society and my coach coached me to play rank game under his instruction near me , it was very helpful and I basically improved from silver 3 to Gold 5 in ranked game. And i know its close to season's end, therefore when I am at home i just play normal Draft game just to earn more world tokens and have fun, however in normal draft game literally 80% of the time they gave me some noobs players or some quite new player and at the same time I have tones of uni work to do so i was like i don't care, it just a normal Draft game to earn world token, so i didn't even pay fully attention and i don't really care losing in normal Draft mode or something. And suddenly today when i log-in the game, a pop up screen came up and said my account got suspend for 2 weeks because of MMR boosting, i was still playing it yesterday night. The thing is ok, i don't really care about the season reward (as the skin is not particularly beautiful to me) and i don't really mind playing after 2 weeks time so that i can focus on my Uni coursework, but the thing piss me off is How can they accuse me for boosting, this is just unfair for accusing me that something i didn't do! And also i was a big fan of LOL i even pay a lots of money for the skins and world champion tickets and stuff. And right now i got this Wrongfully Banned just makes me feel so disappointed to RIOT. As Riot keeps promoting esport and esport spirit recently, i feel like if they are not fixing this stupid banning system, i am sure more and more people will give up this game. Anyway I still hope that the banning system can get fixed or improving or something, if not then i feel like i am not gonna continue investing in this game. (P.S. ticket has been sent for the support team --- i hope they won't give me some bullshit computer auto answers)

Bannable offense to play with friends.

Sounds legit, thanks riot.

Good luck.

In these cases it is hard to disprove Riot because they have hidden criteria that flags people for MMR boosting, so you're largely left guessing what could have caused you to get caught up in the boosting ban wave. It is so boosters don't know what is getting their activity flagged, but it also has a nasty side effect of making it incredibly hard to prove the accusations against you are false.

Maybe if you're willing to fight it out with support, you'll eventually get someone willing to take a serious look at your case.

I wish I could tell you something more positive, but that's just what I've seen anyways and the system has never changed.

Interesting, I had a friend just recently get his account falsely banned for boosting and that wasn't even the account he got boosted on XD
