Tribunal Issues

So we all know the tribunal system has a LOT of flaws, Im sure many people have gone over this topic, as will I. There are way too many issues to go over one by one but Ill just go over the basics on what I think of it. The tribunal system is lazy on Riots part. I understand what they are trying to do by having the players themselves judge and punish people, I like the idea but it has, as I said before, a lot of flaws. For starters, anyone above lvl 30 can participate in the tribunal, I don't think this is right. Riot needs to make at least some restrictions, being that anyone can punish people is very VERY illogical. Some 13 year old kid could be having a bad day in ranked and decides "Ok Im going to bring my irrational thought process as Im angry to punish people for irrational things in the tribunal." Riot needs to have people who are at least mature and can prove it. They should at least make a staff team of players/youtubers or anyone that Riot sees fits the responsibility of the power to BAN people. Secondly, almost all of the people that judge in the tribunal can't understand what is possibly going on in the game. Just because a person is toxic doesn't mean there isn't a reasonable explanation as to why they are toxic. For example, say a laner is purposely feeding and you are getting upset about it, how is it that the person who is upset and expressing his thoughts in chat the one who gets banned or punished instead of the one who's purposely making you lose? I don't think Riot has ever played their own game before because if they did they would know how frustrating it is to have that happen to you. Too frustrating for it to go unspoken about. Another topic is the chat logs. The judges don't go as in depth and review them as much as they should. One player might be toxic but 3 others are just as toxic but dont get reported. The judges only pay attention to the chat logs of the one who was reported just so it can be easier for them to judge. How can you punish someone for something without looking at their side of the story? Anyways thats what I have to say about the tribunal. I'm sure some or even most of you can relate, Goodbye.

Well, the tribunal hasn't been operational in almost 2 years, it got replaced by an automated system. That being said I'll address some issues I had with your post.

For starters, anyone above lvl 30 can participate in the tribunal, I don't think this is right. Riot needs to make at least some restrictions, being that anyone can punish people is very VERY illogical. Well the idea of being level 30 is that you have been playing this game for a while so you would know what is and is not acceptable behavior. It was also more than one person who looked into the Tribunal, not just one person.

Secondly, almost all of the people that judge in the tribunal can't understand what is possibly going on in the game. Just because a person is toxic doesn't mean there isn't a reasonable explanation as to why they are toxic. Riot has made it clear that retaliation is not acceptable under any circumstance. It does get frustrating when people feed, but that doesn't mean that you get the right to be toxic to them. In fact, in my personal opinion, if you start raging at the trolls, you let them win.

You are responsible for your actions, not others. You don't know if the other 3 people who were also being toxic weren't punished as well. Two wrongs don't make a right.

If a player is toxic in the game, they should be punished, regardless of the other players' toxicity. Also, if you're worry they won't get reported, then report them yourself. It only takes 1 report to flag a game for review.

Well tribunal has been out of service for like a year or more, so how many angry 13 year olds do you see abusing it right now?
