Make banning teams pick reportable already

It's disgusting. How is this not a bannable offense. It's about time.

It's not a bannable offense because bans take priority over picks; specifically; if a player does not wish to play against a Champion (due to said Champion being particularly strong, a hard counter, or having mechanics that frustrate them) or with a Champion (due to not synergizing well, not enjoying the playstyle, the Champion is too new, or they simply don't want to risk the enemy getting them first), it is their right to use their ban to remove that Champion from the pool for that specific match.

Does this still leave the possibility for players to maliciously ban other players' Champions? Unfortunately, yes. But, such behavior does get punished when proven to be with the intent to upset another player or otherwise serve a detriment to the team.

And, ultimately, Riot designed the Draft Pick system so as to allow players to, in some small way, dictate their game. The rare case of maliciously banning other players' pick intents is unfortunately the price that has to be paid for overall satisfaction and game agency.

If people openly admit that it is done to spite their teammate? Sure. But then people are just not going to be open about it anymore which makes it questionable how much effort this deserves.

But at the end of the day there are valid reasons to ban somebody's preferred pick, and Riot never has and hopefully never will punish players for strategic disagreement.

If I want to ban yasuo, and our last pick, adc hovers yasuo, and no one agrees to change. im banning it.

I dont care if he wants it. The enemy want it and will get it first.

How about some super op pick/ban champ thats hovered by our 3rd pick while enemy has first pick

Im banning that.

Why should I have to fight against a champion I dont want to simply because my teammate would like to play it

That's like asking for "shooting a 3 point shot" to be reportable. It's completely within the rules of the game. You don't like the rules? Doesn't make something reportable just because you disagree.

I specifically think it's ridiculous that people only know like 5 champs of the 145 champions in league... that or they only know ONE role and int if they get any other role/or do extremely poorly cause' they know nothing about that role. It's what separates the low elo to the high elo tbh. Pick up more than the same few champions and you'll probably see your rank level go up.

Because this is how draft pick works. Anyone, including yourself, gets one ban for any reason.

Don't like it? You still have blind pick.

Everyone gets a ban, and the choice of the ban trumps the pick. This topic has been discussed at length before.

Its not bannable because most people dont want it to be bannable. Just pick someone else ffs.

Banning Ezreal or kaisa from your own team can significantly improve your win rate.

  1. If you think your teammates are going to be trolls, simply don't hover over your pick in advance. It's that easy. I almost never hover.

  2. I just did this behavior that you think is trolling today. Teammate hovered over Senna to support, who is OP and stomping at my ELO range. He was last pick. I have been auto-banning Senna and decided it wasn't worth the risk of the enemy team getting her, so banned her. Of course, this sent him into a rage spiral, and he picked Nunu (I was jungle) so that he could follow me around the jungle and steal my camps.

Shrug. I guess he taught me a lesson? But I don't care.
