Why is it possible that my own team keeps banning the champ that i prepick?

Hey guys, imagine you queue up for a ranked.. You find a match, accept it and you prepick your champ. When it comes to ban phase someone on your team decides to ban the champ you prepicked for no reason.. What a shitty feeling, right? Especially when its your main champ.. Wouldn´t it be great if Riot would change this? I suggest to change the pick and ban mechanic just a bit. So you prepick your champ and when it comes to banning phase every champ prepicked by your team is locked in the ban window so that atleast your own team can´t troll you. Let me hear your thoughts pls :) Sorry btw if my english isnt that great :D

Now, a couple of things.

  1. As politely as I can, your user name is super criiiingey.

  2. So what happens when the enemy bans your "main?" You lose all capacity to play the game and auto lose? Do you feel shitty when the enemy bans it as well? You need to be able to play more than one character without you freaking out if its not available, period. Would it be trolling if your ally picked the character for themselves? What if its their main too?

If I highlight someone and my teammates ban it, I do NOT feel shitty because I have lots of others characters to choose from.

Just pick someone else and remove the emotions from the scenario.

The reason it isn't considered trolling/griefing is because it brings plenty of other benefits. If it's a highly contested pick (such as Vayne or Riven) you run the risk of the enemy team picking them and carrying. You also prevent your team from trying to play them and sub-sequentially feeding with them.

I notice that you main Yasuo, who has consistently been one of the most banned champions since his release. Unfortunately, that's just one of the risks you run when you play someone like him.

Are you a Yasuo, Zed, Riven, Vayne player?

Those champs just attract attention to get banned.

Denying the enemy riven/vayne/insert other OP pick > an ally maybe getting it when they are not first pick, or they might not pick the champ at all.

When I see that one guy playing the new champion which just came out, excuse me for having trust issues, i know its not right but it is my ban. I pre-pick my champ Ahri too so, eye for an eye is fine by me. Other than that ive had my champion banned before but we both know that its gonna happen eventually so luckily I have xer'ath Xerath. Sometimes it works in your favor to be playing something youre comfortable and familiar with, as opposed to what you're used to. Like a different mind-set. Kek.

Just keep in mind what kind of player they are and help a lane out so you invest some teamwork into them and recieve some teamwork back later when you need it~ you know why right? Its To help the guy who banned your champ, thats either losing it or crushing it in lane. Ive had 50/50 experience so far. Shout out to the top laners that fuck'em up 1v2 up there.

Eg.

As top lane ill help mid/jng As mid lane ill help top/jng As bot lane ill help mid/jng As jng lane ill help everyone :)

(Example from a game when I had a Rengar jng on my team and I was Ahri mid)

Sometimes ill act like im warding and plot an invade with my jungler through pings, a simple ping where they are so I can catch there attention and ping where I want them to be so they see it on the mini-map, when I see them near ill start acting like im warding. Imo early on its not about who gets the kill, its about conserving your resources for maximum efficiency. If I can get the kill i will get the kill.

They just wanna make the game harder on themselves. When i was playing Yi jungle, it got banned all the time. So what do they get? My second funnest jungle pick; Nidalee. And I almost NEVER win with nidalee ;)

The only time it should be punishable is if they literally state the intent that they knew you wanted it, and they didnt want you to have it. Otherwise, innocents get caught for accidentally banning a teammate's intent... something I have done a few times before. My bad :/ it happens.

If my team picks yi, and the jungler is last pick, and the FIRST PICK wont grab yi, you damn well know im gonna ban yi. Sorry, its not worth the OTHER team having a champ that dominates my elo so you MIGHT get him
