Muting sucks.

So i got chat restricted bc i defended a teammate from verbal assult, and I made a rant about it. Someone told me to mute all if i cant handle others. I thought, "Sure. Lets give it a shot". So for 10 games, I muted.

Some of the most boring shit in my life.

It isn't fun when you play something stupid off meta, do well, but you can't say anything, nor can you read reactions. It isn't fun playing a normal game with no complements when you do something really good (like a 3 man darius flash pull). And it really sucks when you see out of context toxicity.

Played a game of darius top on blue side. Fiddles wanted a leash at wolves. I told him I would lose cs if i did so, and he said he was fine then. I died top to kled with ignite, and fiddles told me to not feed after I didn't leash. Zed was arguing with jhin, so I figured now was a good time to mute all. I did. 15 minutes in, we have the 3/8 jhin level 7 walking mid. A whole bunch of this goes on, and I have no idea wtf is going on in the chat. I unmute fids for 1 sec to ask whats going on, and he essentially tells me that we're all trash. I mute again. We lose. End game queue is a bunch of monkeys screaming at how bad each of them are. I just sit quietly and observe. I report those I suspect were toxic and leave.

Then I had a game full of memers, and it was straight up fun. I lost, but everyone had a good time.

It really sucks that the solution to being more positive in games is "mute all", when some of the greatest fun comes from the memes in chat.

TLDR: If youre toxic: fuck you. You ruin the game for all of us.
