It's fairly evident that people are only doing this for the 400RP that's given to fresh accounts when they reach a certain level.

Simply limiting the use of said RP to that account or disallowing them from using that starter RP to gift would completely negate any reason for these people to bot.

The above could even be a temporary solution until a more stable, solid solution is found. This has been going on for a long, long while now after all.

Just some food for thought.

I don't see people being after the 400rp being a huge driving force in bottling.

I'm fairly certain most botting is for selling level 30 accounts and/or IP on those accounts.

I like the idea, and if the botting is truly being driven in part by the RP, then most definitely this is a great idea.

Though I also do question the real usefulness of botting just for the RP. 400RP isn't enough to buy much of anything in the store. I suppose you could buy a small amount of RP on those accounts and treat it as a one-time discount sort of thing I guess?

Not gifting is fine. If I got that RP, I'd want to spend it on myself. As long as I can do that, that's fine. Do it up, Riot.
