Put a ticket into support. In the future, dont repeat words you obviously know are going to get you banned just because someone else said them. Use a little common sense. Also, there is literally zero reason to ask for reports. One report triggers the exact same review that 9 reports does

Contact support, they have been known to sometimes reverse punishments due to zero tolerance words when the only thing you did was reference someone else saying the words.

But in the future, don't rub people's faces in it when you're going to be reporting them. There's no need. Just report them.

You weren't wrong. Saying the zero-tolerance word is an instant ban. But you were wrong that your ban was unreasonable. Now you should learn not to type out in League chat.

I actually reached out to support and they lifted the ban and informed me that I am not allowed to repeat words they said just mute, report and play the game. Thanks for the feedback.

There are possible 2 reasons why you got banned:

  1. You asked for report, which is a punishable offense in league of legends as riot has said. It is considered harassment and it must be punished. (This reason must have triggered the ban)

  2. You said the zero-tolerance word. I know you didn't say it to offend anyone but just to mention how someone called you. Maybe riot bots that search for offensive words etc, saw the zero tolerence word and instantly triggered the ban. Did you get it? You wanted to mention the word that someone called you in order to get reports by other players in game and to be punished at last, but you fell on your own trap. (Am not sure if this is the right reason, reason 1 sounds more reasonable to me)

Actually, you don't get punished for asking to report players if that's the only thing you did in the game. If it's bundled with other behavior it counts against you but if it is actually the only thing, then you don't get punished as you can see from the red post linked above.

What you do get punished for is if someone didn't call you a derogatory term and you are trying to bait out reports for other people. Tantram has come down and smited people and elevated their 14 day temp bans all the way to permabans because he saw a repeated pattern of behavior of the person falsely claiming someone used a zero tolerance policy word and asked for reports when in fact it was not true.

If this is a false positive, you can open a support ticket and request a manual review, but in the future you should note that you should never repeat any of the words that would get people reported because there is no need to repeat them. Additionally there is also no need to even ask for reports because Tantram has stated the review function is boolean, which means if there is 1 report it's reviewed. If it's 9 reports, it's reviewed. Which means, having multiple people report one person does nothing.
