Toxicity punishments

I find it bs to get perma banned for being toxic. League is a competitive game and with something competitive there ways is toxicity around it. And personally i find the punishments fair, but getting perma banned for toxcity that isnt racial or offensive is just bs, i spent over 2000 hours on my account and also invested over 500 euros. And i got perma for being tilted by silver teammates in gold/plat games that only fed all game. I had a lose streak of 6 because teammates just fed, not saying i did great, but they were much worse, and i got salty and called them hardstuck. No offensive words, no "kys" no nothing. I never used those sort of words but i still got permad. Overall i think the punishment system for toxicity is just too harsh whilst inters and trollers dont get punished at all.

And I'd find it to be bullshit to allow players to repeatedly be toxic to others when this behavior is strictly against the terms of use they agree to. It's also worth noting that Riot tried longer bans / more chances, and it didn't lead to players changing their behavior. Rather than keep players around as occasional toxic players between long ban periods, they simply remove them from the community.

whilst inters and trollers dont get punished at all.

They get punished extremely aggressively, but the system is not as fast as many people want. It's frustrating to see it happen slowly, but it does happen.

your perma was NOT bc you had a loss streak and had poor teammates

your perma ban was due to the fact that you continued to break the rules THAT YOU AGREED TO multiple times even after being warned and showing a complete lack of ability/disinterest in reforming your attitude

People forget that competitors are also professional. You can be competitive and not be a douchenozzle at the same time. Nobody wants to play a video game, for entertainment (even in "competitive" game modes), and have to deal with children flying off the handle at every little thing that goes wrong.

Just because toxicity is an issue that becomes more prevalent with competition doesn't mean that competition requires - or even condones - toxicity. Toxicity is a byproduct of the expectation of respect that comes with competition.

In other words, "League is a competitive game" is one of the poorest excuses to allow toxicity there is.

Well, when you break the same rules over and over and over again, Riot isn't going to give you the same punishment over and over and over again. They want you to stop, not keep breaking the rules. And the best way to make you stop is to permanently ban you so that you can't keep breaking the rules.

And it's not like the permaban just up and comes out of nowhere. You build up increasingly harsh punishments (from a 10-game Chat Restriction to a 25-game chat restriction to a 14-day ban), with the semifinal punishment, the 14-day ban, explicitly telling you, If you continue to misbehave and break the rules, you WILL be permanently banned.

So if you continue to misbehave after all that, after three punishments and a very clear warning that your account is on the line? Then the permanent ban is your own fault.

Bans in general should be reserved for gameplay related offenses; never for chat

I agree Permaban is not the solution, but the majority of people who play this game are fragile people who are easily affected by words, so you're going to lose this battle 10 times out of 10
