How many time have you guys had to face off something as frustrating as toxicity ? Sometimes it comes as a venting post in the Player behavior section. Sometimes as someone openly insulting you. other times ... it's you. yeah , i know , it's hard to think about it right but we are all toxic at one point. -What ? but i was raised as a good and well educated person, i don't see why i would be "toxic" Ow maybe** you don't know** what** toxicity **is , HERE I COME !

Let me tell you a short story:

Mr.A was a good baker, he used to make good bread but one day, he started to lack flour. So he went to the nearest mill in hope to find some, the local farmer told him that Mr.B used to be his client , and he would only accept to sell him some if Mr.B accepted to share with him. after a short talk , Mr.A and Mr.B decided to become associate Mr.A was a talented baker, Mr.B was not. after a certain time , they started to sell lesser and lesser bread , to the point where Mr.A told his associate : "we're selling lesser and lesser, that's because of you and your lack of skill, get gud" Mr.B knew he wasn't as good, but he wanted Mr.A to explain to him his trick and how to do things but he was too shy. After his speech, Mr.A saw no result and yelled "BRONZE 5, Fk off you're so bad , unistall"

Yeah i know the story went kinda wild and out of context, but i used a simple story so i could set up my explanation. The thing Is, in league of legend , as the bakers, We are in the same bag, Many of us aren't as good as other are.

what Mr.A should have done is a small check up of his skill , and try to see what's wrong , and what's right with Mr.B way of doing his job maybe he could correct him or choose appropriately what to do.

what would happen if Mr.A continues to criticize Mr.B and not help ? well Mr.b might end up leaving his job, ok, but what if Mr.C comes into play and end up leaving as well ? Well at one moment , the farmer will realise Mr.A is dangerous and will stop selling him flour, because he might have no one else to sell that flour to in the end.

You probably guessed it , the farmer is Riot Games. that's the thing, toxicity is not against ONE person, BUT MANY, Mr.A is only trying to do his best and get the best result , but he end up with nothing.

**the reason why , is because Mr.A Forgot one ELEMENTARY thing : HE IS NOT ALONE. **

Toxicity isn't just an insult , or an intentional kill given to the enemy, or a jungle camp stolen. and action is almost NEVER toxic by itself, you need a context. spoiling 10 liter of water can't be harmful here , but in the middle of Africa in a desert, it can be end up being catastrophic. same action , different consequences.

  • in a game , people are usually in a tense situation , where they need psychological support, one things wrong and it's very frustrating, anyone can get that. the thing is , when you stack up , imagine a rope , where you try to balance thing, that is how you measure toxicity, when it falls , when the average perso can leave the game or feel personally attacked that's when it is toxic.

That line is often crossed, and some playful taunt for you can be taken as an agressive insult by other people. If you got banned , it's because at one point someone might have left because of you.

Here is how to avoid being banned or at least getting rioters to trust you a little more:

Your account is being tested EVERY game, it's fairly easy to see if someone was highly beneficial to the community or not I won't go as far as to say they will change their opinion AFTERWARD, but if on a continuous stream of very positive games you end up failing once due to personal problem , they might look at it with a different eye. don't wait to be banned to change , trust me , it can happen very fast.

  1. Know the limits(taunting) Taunting , when doing a sportsmanlike way, is a good too to keep it competitive, you know , i sometimes taunt an opponent but usually end up encouraging him , and if he win , i don't feel as bad as being stomped, i might have contributed to their victory but not actively, usually you are winning when doing this , but trust me when you are loosing and your opponent is offering you a moral helping hand, it feels very good. Sometimes it can be straight up insulting but not enough to deserve a ban , the most common personally usually meet is "go rename , you're bad" that's annoying , but i'm the one who chose that name , i have to assume that on a bad performance, people can taunt me off that. even that 5/14/20 gp when i'm 21/15/10, it's not straight up insulting , but very frustating , i'd just be a manbaby if i replied on that. But be careful with it , it's a fine double edge sword , because you can make people RageQuit however if ANYONE would RQ, and only because of the atmosphere you created by what you said, you might get banned even if you are performing very well. my best advice toward opponent is: be humble !

  2. They are your allies(flaming) Allies didn't choose their levels, boosting isn't that common, you should NEVER EVER flame an ally, you have NO REASON to, i know you are thinking that it feels good, and muting them seems like the only solution but as pineapple head as they are when flaming you, they are usually trying to do the same thing as you do, winning, if you believe they don't know how to , kindly ask them to cooperate. you might even create your worst nightmare by flaming , and i'm sorry to say it , but you filthy banana juice head would have well deserved it, and that loss too, because you nowhere participated in winning , rather, you preferred ruining your chances your top is 0/8/0 and still pushing and says he is getting camped? Ask him to ward and temporize the enemy while you go bot as 3v2 and get their turret; You are the one wrong. Don't blame your allies they are doing they best. Oh and if an ally's call was bad , don't flame him , he tried too, those you can kindly explain to him. If you loose that's on you. so remember: They aren't called allies to decorate

  3. Revenge ? NAAAAAH If you intentionally give kill , there is no hope for you in this game(and i'm the one saying this), i know it is FUN, but if you want to do it , get a team for that, and do this as a team, no one is gonna complain off your feeding if you are all feeding. on a normal game , you may create one of the worst experience for your allies. If you are simply feeding , a simple "sorry" might suffice if you are getting camped, well they are gonna have to deal with it if your teammates don't help you and if they flame , that's on them. As an otp i can tell you , i know that a lot. when it happen, i end up asking my jungler to come , when he doesn't comes , past a certain point , i just ignore him and try to farm up if your allies don't wan't to help you , that's their problem , don't flame them for that. if they complain about you afterward just tell them "i told you to help, you didn't, even if i was unfed i think you should have helped, now face your own sins and think of it in the next game" when your teammates are doing a mistake , let them eat that magnificent brick known as "life" themselves, don't throw it at them, let them taste it themselves. you're not a judge, stop taking decision you're not supposed to

In general , if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything, my personal general advice is: think about consequences when typing anything in chat ;)

anivia out !

for someone lacking flour, Mr. A sure is salty...

I've had my main account for 3+ years. I got punished first time in the first few months of playing league, after that punishment i hadn't got punished again until about 10+ months ago.

So I've gotten only 2 punishments in my history of playing league. A 14 day ban and a 10 game chat restriction. Only 2 punishments, ever, and guess what? I'm pretty toxic in some of my games.

Anyone can skirt the system if their smart enough, and you'll never get caught by the IFS for toxicity.

There is a thing called soft trolling that people got around. Smart players know that soft trolling one or 2 games won't get caught because Riot gives the benefit of the doubt. It just looks like bad plays. It's about consistency, not revenge.
