What should i do if i get reported for no reason and the report ends up getting me banned?

So i am currently banned for 14 days due to my negative behaviour and i accept that its my fault and I am planning to not be toxic for the future games i play and try not to get tilted , but what if i get reported for no actual reason ?? will the reports count even tho i do nothing wrong? because there are people in the league community who will report just because i try or do something which is not normal for them , im afraid if such people who report for no reason will get me perma banned.

Here's how the system works:

  1. You use in-game chat and are toxic/harass/grief others
  • Someone reports you (1x or 9x, it just takes one report) --Result: punishment
  1. You use in-game chat and are positive, helpful, polite / or you don't chat at all
  • Someone reports you (1x or 9x, all the same) --Result: no punishment

That's it. You only are judged and punished based on one factor: what you say and do.

Rioters are pretty good about posting your transgressions in the forums when you say "I'm innocent and did nothing wrong" so I'm curious to see what's going to come of this post...

Since nobody has technically answered your question yet: You open a support ticket (and possibly a thread on these very forums) about it and have a Rioter re-review the case.

As Chermorg pointed out, however, the IFS is very good at filtering out false reports, so I don't think there's any reason to worry at this point. But it probably doesn't hurt to know what to do in case you do end up with an unjustified ban. Kind of like being on an airplane. There's usually no reason to worry about crashing, but it can still be reassuring to know where the emergency exits are... just in case you need them.

Realize you weren't being reported for no reason

Nope. The IFS (Instant Feedback System) is very good at filtering out reports that are either inaccurate or made in retaliation. If you are not being overly negative, you will not be punished further.

same for me i got reported for leaving/afk but i definitely played the game and didn't stayed afk once it's usally bunch of kids crying cuz they lost the game and blame on the team if you're playing on low elo you need to get out of it quick and don't worry we will meet these people and get reported for no reason they have no proof so just don't worry lol

That doesn't happen anymore. If it does happen, likely there is a real reason, but you just don't see it.

I tried to respond to your previous post, but it seems to be deleted from the section it was posted in.

You said: So i tried playing aurelion sol because he is free to play this week , i went mid against a yasou main who kept killing me and i got reported for intentional feeding by my team and got a 14 day suspension on my account. So according to the league's report system if i try out a champ and just because i cant play the champ and end up dying alot i am supposed to get banned? Plus it was a normal blind pick game ,not ranked.

My response: Perhaps your teammates felt like you were playing too aggressive in your lane early on when you should have played more passive, and assumed you were doing so intentionally? Of the first 5 deaths, 4 were from you, and at least 1 of them you were ganked. Your jungle then tried to help you and ganked your lane. If you end up losing in a lane, it's better to stay back at a distance, sometimes even to the point where you're sacrificing a few cs, rather than continue dying to the same person trying to accumulate cs. If you die several times to the same person, they'll likely have the advantage over you in your next encounter in both gold and experience, both of which make major differences early on, and you should play with caution (passively) and request aid. If your teammates absolutely refused to aid you for the duration of the game, that's bad sportsmanship on their part. If they felt like they weren't capable of beating Yasuo and were avoiding him for that purpose, it's kind of hard to say either way. You were 3/14/11 that game, and Yasuo was 25/7/2. You aren't entirely to blame in my opinion, but they're probably blaming the snowball on you. If you truly played as you normally would without constantly diving to your death intentionally, you might be able to get someone to review it for you. I can't say for certain without actually being able to watch it.

Edit: I just realized the thread I posted in was 3 months old. I thought you reposted your current issue, because it sounds familiar.

False reports won't get you punished.
