I got banned for talking smack in a video game

Ive been playing this game since 2013 and have only had the one account , yesterday night my account had become prema banned from me saying some "toxic" things. Negativity has no place in this game. That's not talking "smack". That's just immaturity and toxic. You can be truthful without insulting people. And you can enjoy the game without playing at someone else's expense.

I always like asking; How does it feel to waste 5 years on an account knowing you'll never get any of it back? Was it worth it?

Unfortunately this is Riots game and its their rules.

But to answer your question- No. I don't think anyone should be permabanned for that chat, especially without context.

Hate to break it to you but this does not qualify as "talking smack", but rather belittling, putting down and harassing/insulting others. You claim to be telling them the truth, but most people aren't going to listen to someone who only insults them whenever they mess up. That's not being helpful that's being a jerk. To quote Baron Barian:

There's trash talking, and then there's talking like trash. Don't think twice before you talk. Think 5 times.

The punishment is deserved. Next time if it's not helpful or constructive then don't press Send.

Maybe you're confused. .. You don't "talk smack" or "trash talk" your own teammates.

Not that this behavior would be okay to say to your opponents either, but this is simply an inaccurate use of terms. These things are occasionally seen in other competitive environments, and it has even had a place in professional League of Legends in the past, but it was done outside of the game, and wasn't done on a personal level.

Honestly I cant stand bot lanes that die that often. SIlver is really bad. And thats why I have to play either adc or supp even tho I love jg
