VII: Be Resolute, not Indignant 'It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.' -Julius Caesar

Intrinsic to the idea of competition is the notion that, when our pride is on the line, emotions tend to run high. Every person that we encounter is going to carry a different set of circumstances with them into the game, and therefore is going to have a different level of tolerance for frustration. If you end up in a game with an abusive player, don't lower yourself to their level. Instead, politely ask them to calm down. And remember, even if you’re having a bad game, **quitting or going AFK just ruins the game for the rest of the players. **

If someone's really starting to bother you,_ the mute and ignore commands are always there to resolve the situation.** _

I know all of you will be shitty and be like "you deserve it, fuck you"

and whatever fuck you too

First of all I wil state although my troll support ruined my lane and basically my entire game from the disadvantage he forced onto me, at no point did i, EVEN FOR A SECOND, afk. I played to win, I try harded, the entire game to the best of my ability FOR MY TEAM.

I just wanted to ask something that really bothers me about this game

Why is the gragas piece of shit who flamed me for missing cs although I was trying my hardest and then bailed on me when i was low health and low mana (he had FULL BARS) to literally run up and down the map to other lanes and anywhere else but my lane to punish me a shining example of the summoners code but me, who always plays to win, who never makes someone feel bad for being new to a champ or being unskilled or having a bad game (EVEN ON THE ENEMY TEAM) is a piece of shit and deserves to lose everything they worked for for having a moment of weakness and saying a couple things in frustrtaion to the troll who ruined my lanbe, my game, and my entire fucking account now

And remember, while nobody likes being insulted, it pays to take a moment to consider the circumstances. Remember that this is a competitive game, and, more often than not, the other player is just venting their frustration. Try not to take it personally. Everyone has a breaking point and everyone rages sometimes. At some point you may find yourself in the other person's shoes.

do my shoes not count? am I for some reason in valid? Or is this this one worthless soul gragas support not required to adhere to the summoner code?

he has a mute button. He chose not to press it, He chose to start flaming out of no where.

I have no button to stop what he was doing to me. theres no button to undo him leaving me to die give tower and lose lane.

RIOT If the mute button is there to resolve the situation why have you strayed from you own code.

why am i punished for my helplessness. Why am I punished for my natural frustration with my helplessness

im super super fucking bummed out

PS

VII ILeave No Newbie Behind! 'Be an opener of doors for such as come after thee.' -Ralph Waldo Emerson

We all started somewhere, and if we're going to do justice to the people who helped us move up the ladder, we have to start by paying homage to our roots. If you see a player having a bad game, or who clearly doesn't grasp the fundamentals of the genre, try offering some constructive advice. If you do so in a civil and friendly manner, it's likely that they will be receptive. Oftentimes they'll be downright grateful that somebody took the time to let them know how to improve instead of yelling at them.

Never get frustrated by an inexperienced player's performance. At some point, you were just as green as they were, even if it was the day that you downloaded the League of Legends client. Have a little patience, and try and help the player step up to a level where both of you can enjoy the game. At the same time, don't be discouraged if they aren't receptive. Some small percentage of players will get hung up on the notion that they don't need anybody's help, and, no matter how politely you try to lend a hand, they won't want to hear it. That's no reason to give up on the rest of them!

so, again, this applies to everyone ( including me who follows this code and always tryies to encourage new players to the game or just to champs,

except that murder deserving gragas?

im getting confused

whatever fuck you too

I think that this pretty much sums up your attitude.

While it does suck to have a troll team member.

This will make me rage......however I rage at my screen and never bring it into the game.

why am i punished for my helplessness. Why am I punished for my natural frustration with my helplessness

You are punished for your inability to control yourself.

  1. We don't know the status of the gragas's account. They could be one negative comment away from a permanent ban.

  2. You not controlling yourself in game is what brought about the ban

having a moment of weakness and saying a couple things in frustrtaion

Umm saying a couple of negative comments will not get you banned. Having a consistent history of saying negative comment will escalate you through the punishment tiers.

The only way that "saying a couple of things" will get you straight to a ban is if you jump off the cliff that is Homophobic/hate/death threat/kys comments.

You are not innocent. It is not anyone's fault other then your own that you CHOSE not to control yourself in game.

Does the Gragas deserve a punishment? Probably I don't know I wasn't in the game.

Do you deserve a punishment for your behavior? I don't know you have not shared chat logs.

What I can tell you is that you will NEVER get banned because of another person's actions when it comes to chat bans.

Riot can't punish a player on what they feel, only what they do. Riot is not requiring you to like the situation that the troll has placed you in, they're asking to not add oil to the flame by making/adding to the shitstorm in chat. Yelling at a troll solves nothing. They'll continue to troll regardless of what you tell them. Report them instead.

Each person is responsible for their own behavior.

a common troll tactic is to deliberately rile up players and then report them. riot and the goodie goodies of PB&M believe this behavior doesnt exist, and the only surefire way to avoid it is to not use chat. period

he has a mute button. He chose not to press it,

Look who's talking....

I got two lines in and figured you probably deserved it.

deathgod55/1/2017, 9:59:20 AM2 votes

I can't even imagine what it is like to be perma'd and from what I read here you mostly handled out of frustration which is a reason I understand(considering I removed my enter keys from one my keyboards specially for league of legends).

It sucks to lose your account and you have my sympathies, I wish I could help you more, but I can't.

I am not going to lie tho, opening with those two lines would put most people on disagree mode regardless of what you would have done below.

I took a look at the game in question: it looks like the one you went Cass bot with Grag support, Bard mid, Rengar jungle, and Garen top? At 6 mins, your opponent had just about 4x as much CS as you. Basically, in that situation, I could understand that Grag would bail and try to help out whatever other lanes are possibly winning and leaving you to farm under tower.

That being said, he should not flame you; nor should you flame him in that situation. He's cutting bait because, as it is, you're already losing. In his mind, it's better to give up tower and some CS to try to roll the other 4 members of your team and hope you guys can handle the ADC you're facing. It's a viable strat, but one borne out of necessity, not necessarily want.

Your original implication seems to be you were reported for AFKing but later it looks like you were banned for toxicity. Either way, the community can't actually unban you, just point to why it's likely you were banned and how to avoid it in the future. Concerning that, it's best to know when you're behind and just accept that and farm as best you can. If it's for toxicity, just don't flame - if being insulted, don't type back, if being spam pinged, don't type back, just try your best and ignore anyone that's typing (or mute 'em). I should also state, if you were permabanned outright, you probably typed some really heinous stuff. If you've moved up the ban ladder, you know that flaming or even "defending yourself from someone that's flaming" isn't acceptable.

I'm sorry about your situation but Riot has been pretty consistent with it's policies.

Maybe gragas was just bad just like you.. ? that ever cross your mind? While you were dying alone thinking gragas was trolling, maybe he was roaming and thinking the exact same how you're just trolling and dying. Just because someone doesn't share your views and doesn't play the game the way YOU want, doesn't instantly make them a troll. Maybe he just made the wrong call because he was bad?

Why is your noobiness ok but others' is not?
