I forgot Smite

Is it punishable to have a poor game, in ranked, because of smite, even if you apologize for it in chat? Im paranoid to lose my account, and everytime i make any mistake i instantly apologize to my team, im super embarassed but i cant afford another ban.

It's never bannable to take the wrong summoner spells. Summoner spell order was determined by meta, not the actual game itself. The only time it would be is if you continuously did and it got posted on reddit or something.

As long as you still try to work around the disadvantage, you won't get banned for forgetting Smite. It's not against the rules to play a Jungler smiteless.

I won a game once when forgetting smite. Not a jungle main so... It's not impossible to pull off a win in low elo I would say. Also don't worry about it, I don't believe its punishable. You'll be k.

I've won games when my jg forgot smite. Didn't get a single dragon or baron, but we did win...

i think if you get jungle as role, it should do the same as it does in nexus blitz. force-equip you with smite (with the option to change it)

Riot never nerfed duo top, although they did nerf smiteless jung.

Therefore if you do try to jung without smite instead of taking the role that still can win games, well, I'm not going to report you, but you are throwing.

Go duo top.

If you forget smite as jungler multiple times, you deserve a ban (i'm not saying you will get banned (sadly), but you would deserve it). If this is once in 100 game, then probably nothing happens.

that sucks man, i forget smite every now and then, the last time i did that (i dont know if this was a good idea, but when u forget smite your basically screwed so why not) but i built one of those gold generating items, and it helped out, we still lost the game. BUT i did get to build a bunch of stuff without stealing CS from any of the lanes, and it was a pretty close match.

Punishment really only comes into effect when you have been repeatedly reported for the same thing, and if a reviewer determines that your negative behavior is consistent.

From a narrow view, if something like this happened and you apologized in chat, it will probably be determined as a mistake and you will not receive punishment.

However, if you repeatedly forget Smite, or repeatedly doing things that automatically put your team at a significant disadvantage, even if you are sure to tell your team that you are sorry, it could be determined that you trolling, but saying sorry to cover up.

I wouldn't be too worried if things like this happens occasionally.

Just do your best to keep it at a minimum.
