So I am a Fan of Many MOBA's Ive played Smite,Dota, Hon and obviously league. In a lot of These games yes there is Toxicity. But it is the same Toxicity I see in league. However the players handle it differently, in Hon and Dota When someone is toxic the players just deal with it. For example I was playing a game of Dota last week after getting stomped by the enemy team their silencer says GG EZ my riki just says sure/whatever. While in league there would be crying and raging and Report X spam. Honestly I feel that by trying to Stamp out Toxicity Riot is babying the community I am by no means saying Toxicity is OK But GGEZ is not a reason to rage or get angry and ask for reports. Its getting to the point where Can you not/you should build X is considered abusive language.

I feel Riot is Babying the community way too much to point where even non toxic criticism is being picked up as Abuse.

it's very rare that anyone says anything in response to the enemy team saying ggez. Your anecdotal evidence with a sample size of 1 game is pretty meaningless.

I mean, Riot has more players than all those games, so they must be doing something right to make players want to stay?

I would love to see the chat log that got someone banned where the ONLY "negative" things said were GGEZ and suggestions on what to build.

I assume you have access to those, since you cite that as evidence of Riot babying the community.

If all you said was off-hand remarks like GG EZ in League you would almost certainly never get banned. Mild banter and trash talk is a MOBA staple as you’ve said. Toxicity becomes actionable with a chat restriction or worse when it turns into a pattern of harassing, meaningless attacks toward a specific target (80% of people who come here to discuss their bans follow this pattern). If you limited your gloating to GG EZ and never personally attacked anyone on their ooor performances or not doing what you thought they ought to be doing, you would never receive any punishment.

Getting inside your opponent’s head is a legitimate strategy to gain an edge, you just need to know how to do it while still remaining civil. If they choose to rage m, that’s on them. You can mess with people without being toxic.

in dota some went to lp punishment for spaming gg ez every game because if you dont know dota ban system is auto based on how often you get reported i stalked some forums here and there and ppl get punished often for small toxicity so ya its no diff other then riot punishment being harsher.

and then both lol and dota are full of cry babys asks for report for whoever lost his lane/they feel to blame.

then we get the fact you can get punished in dota for maining a hero (techies) just to show ppl there are as babys as here
