Why do you get mad if someone bans the champion you wanted to play?

Also please explain how a teammate banning your champion is somehow more angering than the enemy team banning it when the result is the same.

Well, here's the thing - it's one thing to get your pick intent banned by the enemy team. That's frustrating, sure, but it's way, way, way worse for your teammate to ban your pick intent, because if they do, they're A) not paying any attention in the lobby, and are likely not going to pay much attention in the game (which is bad), B) deliberately trying to screw their teammates over, put them on tilt, etc. (which is also bad), or C) being a generally, all-around dickish person because even knowing that someone on their team wants to play that Champion, they don't like seeing that Champion, and therefor will ban them.

Basically; The enemy team banning your pick is either dumb luck or you wanting to play something generally frustrating (Darius, Draven, ZAC, etc.), whereas your teammate banning your pick is a good way to tell that you have a bad teammate on your hands.

Because your teammate is not supposed to sabotage you?

It's like saying being beaten by your family members or whatever circle you happen to be a part of (even if they're distant) is just as sad as being beaten by a complete stranger who're from a rival group of whatever kind and out to get you in the first place, because the result is the same, ie you get beaten.

No they're not the same.

When the enemy team bans a champion you wanted to play, it's good strategy on their part. Banning out my Lux (my most played champion) is a good idea when playing against me. Banning away clearly overpowered champions or counter picks to what they want to play is also a good strategy.

When your own team bans the champion you wanted to play, it's almost always a bad strategy, even if it's something way off-meta (Quinn top) or something that a lot of players are really bad at (Yasuo).

When someone's hovering an off-meta pick or a champion that a lot of people are bad at, there's two options: either they're a troll or they aren't.

If they're a troll, there's 130+ champions they can pick in that role to troll. If they aren't a troll, they're probably hovering it because that's their best pick in that lane.

So if they're a troll, banning the off-meta pick or common feed pick they're hovering won't help, they'll just troll on something else. If they aren't a troll, you just banned away their best chance of being useful in the game.

How is it a good idea to ban away your allies' champions? (Only exception is if you don't have first pick and it's a near 100% pick/ban rate champion, like Zac has been for quite a while)

It's like the difference between backing on a ward at low health and dying to a Jinx rocket, and dying to a Jinx rocket that was going to hit your full HP tank if the tank didn't Flash out of the way of it and let it hit you for the kill. One is a good play by the Jinx to have a ward down where you were recalling and noticing you there at low HP to fire the rocket. The other is a terrible play by your own teammate who should want you to not die.

....because I wanted to play that champion.

Players who ban out their own team mates deserve to be in queue forever.

People assume intentions.

It's probably a pretty handy survival tactic.

Because there are a lot of whiners who play this game.

If they're picking Ezreal, I'm banning him, otherwise, they can play whatever they want.

I don't get mad, I just calmly instalock disco nunu and int 20 kills in their lane for being an annoying douche.
