Positional Ranking & Off-Role

I just had a game so absolutely frustrating, a midlane Yasuo who was off-role and inted (went 3-14) because they weren't in their main role. Of course, this isn't a bad game shown by their extremely low off-role winrates (in mid and support) and yet although I understand Riot has made splashing a main focus to mitigate such events from happening, shouldn't splashing be more severe if it's obvious a player is refusing to learn the other roles in normal matchmaking and keeps dragging losses when they are off-role?

i actually hope they can make off role rank lower, for example I am D4 now, and mainly play support, but i dont really play other role instead of mid, i think my mid could be plat 1-2, and top plat 4,jungle gold, adc silver. but now the problem is after your main role achieve to diamond, the mmr of your off roles are also diamond, i dont think there are many players are good at all roles, so like me, i didn't play adc placement games yet, but if i quene adc, i will get in to a diamond ranked game, mean while my ad is only silver, i think riot should fix this, or if you put all of the role at same level, what the point to make the different rank role system? just make it same as before.
