"Easy"/"ez" at the end of a match should be a zero-tolerance phrase

It is pure, unfiltered unsportsmanlike behavior. I hate when I'm on the losing team and it's said to me, and I hate when I'm on the winning team and one of my teammates says it. It is absolutely unjustifiable; there is no context in which it is acceptable.

The fact that you are getting downvotes shows the state of players in this game. I gave you a +1 I think that is unsportsmanlike as well. "gg all" is the right way to go. If the enemy played bad, it doesn't hurt to cheer them up.

"Saying gg ez is GIVING TIPS!" Lol, a new low on this board.

No, because it would bring down the seriousness of other ZT phrases.

It does, however, contribute to punishment.

The zero tolerance stuff has a reason it's treated with zero tolerance compared to other behavioral infractions.

Derogatory slurs? Offensive towards a group of people regardless of how it's used. Not things that should even be considered being said in a civilized conversation with strangers.

Telling someone to kill themselves? Telling someone to commit self-harm can be extremely distressing to anyone that's been (or is) on that edge or someone who has/had a family member in that situation. That disregard of any empathy by another human being can easily hit a lot harder than the speaker intends.

Telling someone that the game was easy? I don't see any reason that it should have an elevated punishment anymore than saying, "Your team sucked".

I don't reckon so, a lot of people say it as a joke for a hard close game; or they steamroll and say "ez"

Don't let it tilt you and reckognize what your team/you did wrong, you're matched with similar MMR players so something definately went wrong if the game was easy for the enemy team.

Like, saying EZ when it's an one-sided game isn't insulting. It's realistic. Saying GG when your team destroyed the enemy is more condescending, if you ask me. I hate when the enemy team says "GG" when my team has an AFK two feeders and a jungler that doesn't gank and always gets caught out. Don't fucking "GG" me, man. Tell it like it is.

Pretending like it's anything but what it really is is the biggest show of disrespect imaginable.

I'll have to admit. I prefer to "gg ez" when i'm having a frustrating game and won while very close to losing. Because nothing is more satisfying than being the carry, while the enemy on other lanes are fed af, and about to get an unfair win, but lose anyway because i managed to carry and win. I'm sorry if that sounds like am a big jerk on this, but i'm no heart of gold when it comes to a game where everything is a fiesta with little meaning on skill these days.

Tell you what. The power of "mute" is like you have the power to give the enemy and ally the chat restriction. Try using it some time. [slayer-jinx-unamused]

I dont think anything should be zero tolerance. Im a big believer in practicing tolerance. You cant control the world you live in, so its best to have tolerance for things you dont like.

YerroFever12/27/2018, 5:35:35 AM1 votes

I think it's really unsportsmanlike but I don't think it's on the same level as racial or homophobic slurs...

PavLoo12/31/2018, 6:15:01 PM1 votes

I abolutely agree. I must confess that because people were saying "Ez", i got myself banned. At that time, I did not really understand the punishing system, and i was spamming "kys" to everyone who said "Ez" or "Izi". In short, just mute these people, and not react.

Depending on the way its used i tend to report it and move on

Terozu12/26/2018, 10:13:49 PM1 votes

Uhhh no, it should be punishable if used excessively, but it definitely should not be ranked with N****r or KYS.
