Left game cause of Bug, came back and won, -17 LP for leaving????

So, I queued for ranked. I was doing fine, then I suddenly can't move. I explain what is happening to my team they suggest I restart. I do, then it's the same thing: I can't move. I try A moving, to realize I can just fine. I realized my mouse died. So I quickly switch mice and get back in the game. I apologized to my team they were very understanding and we ended up winning. I lost 17 LP, which is more than if I would have lost the game, even though we won. Why am I being punished for a tech error when I came back in and tried my best and we ended up winning? I lost the LP before anyone even had time to report me, which I highly doubt since everyone was very understanding in game. Riot, can I please have my LP back? Look at my account, and look at that game. I don't leave, I don't flame. And this is what happens when I try.

you made the mistake of returning to the game. if a player leaves the game for whatever reason (rage quit, connection error, tech error, etc) they have absolutely no incentive to return. because of shit like this.

they dont return LP for a match under any circumstances, but its probably due to how long you were actually gone when restarting. if changing batteries (im assuming its a wireless mouse being that you said it died) and restarting it was >5 mins, you're marked as a leaver regardless. thus losing lp.

in all fairness though if they simply allowed you to come back with no penalty if i intentionally leave then come back, and find they won, im rewarded with LP. could also be abused by duo partners, where one leaves once the game seems lost but once its winnable reconnect for some freelo.

Because the tech error is not Riot's fault and it sure isn't your team's fault. They were at a disadvantage because of your computer problems, regardless of the outcome of the match.

Yeah lol, it sucks. I remember when that first happened to me. Like what?! I came back as fast as I could, and tried my best and actually contributed to winning the game! Sucks. Oh well.
