Is it okay to flame someone on your team who is Inting and making purposefully stupid decisions?

**By flame, I mean saying things like "thanks for throwing, ur horrible", "delete the game" or "your trash". Nothing racist, no prejudices, etc. **

Just got out of a game where my entire team was fed, we were rolling the other team, and everything was going well. There was one player on my team, a Teemo top laner, who decided to ruin the game. There was one point where I rubbed my eyes IRL because I could not believe what I was seeing. Teemo, already 0/4 against a gnar, decided to tank a 15+ creep wave while trying to 1v1 a gnar 3 levels above him while standing still. This, in my opinion, is inting. Earlier in the game, they were csing fine, moving around, poking, knew how to play the game. They were inting. As the game slowly became turned to the other team, I was naturally pretty tilted, as it was an important win I needed to get to promos. I said what I listed at the top, and some other things along the lines of that, nothing worse.

My question is, Is it bad to flame someone who is inting? Can I actually get banned by getting natually pissed at someone who is ruining the fun of the game for me? Do I deserve a ban for doing this?

By flame, I mean saying things like "thanks for throwing, ur horrible", "delete the game" or "your trash". Nothing racist, no prejudices, etc.

No; even if the person is, without a shadow of a doubt, intentionally feeding/trolling, you're not allowed to flame them.

My question is, Is it bad to flame someone who is inting?

Yes. Flaming them accomplishes nothing, and, in fact, only serves to give them the reaction that they wanted out of you by intentionally feeding; they want you to react, and you flaming them is giving them only more reason to keep intentionally feeding.

It's Internet 101 - don't feed the troll.

Can I actually get banned by getting natually pissed at someone who is ruining the fun of the game for me?

You can get pissed at them, but you're not allowed to spill that vitriol into chat. It serves no benefit, and can decrease the morale of the rest of your teammates.

If you need to burn that stress, find other ways to do it. Squeeze a stress ball, punch a pillow, fuck around with a fidget spinner, yell obscenities at your monitor, etc.

Do I deserve a ban for doing this?

Depending on your behavioral history, it can go either way. If you frequently flame and lash out, then yeah, you're liable to get some form of punishment - and if you've had two chat restrictions prior, then that punishment may well be a 14-day ban.

But, if this is your first instance of negativity in general - either period, or in a long while - there's a modest possibility that you won't immediately be punished, though the game will still count against your behavioral history, and you could get punished down the road for further slip-ups.

The important thing to remember is that there are other people in the game, and flaming someone doesn't make the experience any better for them. If you were to flame, you wouldn't get banned for being angry, you'd get banned for allowing your frustration to negatively affect the game experience of other players.

Many reasons why people can feed. New to the Game, New to the champ, even playing late at night when you should be sleeping, but your friends convince you to take that last game.

Imagine what your life would be like if from your childhood your parents took that approach you listed , every time you tried something (from the 1st time you tried to ride a bike, throw a ball, or kick a ball. ) .. Hey son/(or Hun) ... yeah you suck at math, maybe you should drop out of school..

Have you tried taking a more helpful approach with them rather than looking to flame them.?

As long as you don't directly insult them, it is fine to call them bad or tell them that you know they are inting.

I obviously never insult anyone when i play league but i get into arguments from time to time and i've never been punished for it because i don't act childish and call them names.

Just know that if they are soft-inting, not being obvious and not running it down directly to towers and going 0/15/0, system will have hard time detecting them. Most of these players know and do this intentionally to get you to type so they'll report you and get you punished.

nope just keep it as an observation on their decisions in game and not a direct attack on them as a person

it is preferred to not engage with them at all unless you want to bait out some slurs and get them banned that way since inting is kinda hard to get banned for
