Locked Honor

My honor has been locked for a while for a chat restriction I had over two games where I was at my worst. I'm generally not a toxic person, I'm actually very friendly, but sometimes you'll get those teammates that really rub you the wrong way and you can't help but get on their level. Anyway, I was wondering if it's actually possible to unlock my honor again. I feel like it's been purposely designed to make it virtually impossible, am I wrong? I would love to be able to have that honor design whenever I load into a game again. We're all human, sometimes you'll have those days. I'm just wondering if I will ever be able to redeem myself without playing a billion games hoping to get enough honors. I know I'm not the only one wondering this after surfing the web a bit.

your honor will unlock after some time of not being reported and punished and gaining /earning honors again.

It is possible to unlock honor again, but there is no magic answer as to when.

Say we both got punished.

I keep being negative, but not enough yo warrant a punishment. It takes me about 400 games to unlock or 4 months of daily playing (about 3-4 games daily).

You actually are positive in chat, saying gj when appropriate and etc. It only takes you 100 games to unlock or 2 months of daily playing (maybe 2 games a day).

A member of Riot has stated they would like to make tracking honor progress more transparent. It isn't necessarily a simple thing to put in though.

it took me 10 days to unlock my honor.
