Okay, so, sometime ago I reported two players for intentionally banning my pick for the sake of trolling.

  1. they admitted it
  2. afterwards one of them said they were going full crit reksai so I had to be a tank
  3. later in the game rek'sai still went tank
  4. rek'sai said told me that brand told them to ban my champion
  5. i reported brand and rek'sai
  6. nothing happened

why?

edit: obviously not wanting to be a hindrance to the team i went a tank champion(yorick)

A player can ban any champion for any reason.

This isn't punishable.

Their attitude is an entirely different matter depending on the severity.

Because reporting someone's pick for whatever reason is not punishable. It falls under the negative attitude but it won't suffice on its own.

Clicking that ! button doesn't issue a ban in and of itself. There is a review process and other factors that the ! is just the starter to. To get someone banned, you need to click the !... but clicking the ! doesn't guarantee a ban out of you clicking !.

but the most important part is banners can ban any champion, period, that you wanted to play it or not doesn't matter.

Let it go man. Move on from this game and look forward to the next game.

why?

Because Riot doesn't ban trolls. They ban people that use cheats and bad words.

Why is banning someones intended pick not a breach of the Summoners Code?

Bans and picks are absolute. Intentions are not. If you are not flexible with your intentions, you are always breaking the Summoners Code. If you are not flexible with your pick, you are always breaking the Summoners Code. (Exception being first pick) If you are not flexible with your bans, you are possibly breaking the Summoners Code. The difference is bans are done in an uncertain state. You have no knowledge of what the teams will be. You only know what they could be. So your job is to limit what the teams could be. Because you have no knowledge of what the teams will be, you can not possibly consider the needs of the team. First pick is in a similar situation. They have to follow the absolute rules of the ban though. They are in a position to pick whichever champion has not been banned. They can not possibly consider the needs of the team. Every pick afterwards has knowledge of what the teams will be. They will always have the possibility to consider the needs of the team.

someone banning your intent pick is not a punishable offense. you should be able to play more then one champion anyways. Yes it's a jerk move, but isn't bannable.
