I don't treat Ranked any different than Normals

When I say don't treat them any differently, I'm basically saying that I don't have two different mindsets when playing, one for ranked and one for normals. I don't get salty or upset when I'm playing ranked, a loss is just a loss, it happens, and I move on. I also might make some "experimental" plays while in ranked that I also do in normals. Long story short, normals and ranked are the same exact game for me, my play style and my attitude are not changed depending on which game mode I'm playing. I also don't really care too much about my elo or rank.

Is this wrong? Should I take ranked matches more seriously than normal matches?

Your case is natural since your objectives for both ranked and normal matches are the same: winning the game.

Those whom you consider having different mindsets for ranked&unranked, they simply have different objectives for each. In ranked they're trying to win to prove their skills, and in unranked they're striving for as much pleasure as they can get out of it.

The only problem I see with this kind of thing is when, in unranked, people get all bent out of shape over losing. Pre-30, I can understand; that grind is fucking awful.

However, when someone gets pissed in unranked, starts flaming people for playing poorly when they could be picking up a new champion or trying a new technique... that's where I have a problem. Would full AP Poppy Bruiser Top be silly? Will these people realize that they're playing poorly? Yes, but they'll figure that out without you yelling at them.

As long as you don't actually get toxic, you're fine in my book. Just remember what I said about unranked, ok?

I don't think so, provided that you are giving both types of games the same level of focus. It's important that you consider your team mates have signed up to play with you for the next hour; they have shared their time with you. Whether it's normals or ranked, they still deserve a sense of respect for their time. I think many people don't consider the level of importance other people might be placing on that particular game. If you have just moved from bot games to normals, then those normal games are going to feel pretty important to you. Likewise as you move up to ranked games. Others don't play ranked at all and so want to get value out of playing a normal game.

I am similar; I play with the same degree of focus between normals and ranked. The biggest (only?) difference for me is that ranked is where I play when I have developed confidence and expertise using a champion. Normals is where I practice, both old and new champions.
