Support = Verbal Abuse
Sure support isn't flashy or the center-stage position, but it's still a fun position... or it should be.
Ever since "fill" became "support" (so basically since the new queue came out) I've swapped from Jungle to Support just to sort of help out the support deficit. After a month or two of playing the new position, I can tell you that it's no wonder that no one wants to play support--because no one wants to be torn down over and over and over again by their abusive ADC's.
It's great when you get a good ADC and you can win through teamwork--heck it's even better when you get a great ADC and you can lose with grace and understanding--but the majority of the games feel like messing with a time bomb.
If he dies it's your fault for not dying with him. If you die to protect him, it's your fault for feeding. You get flamed for leaving lane and warding too much and flamed for warding too little. If he's winning, it's all him. He had to "carry you noobs," or his "back hurts." With a large number of these abusive ADC's, the show is all about them, and they never take responsibility for their actions and try to take all the credit for the team's victories.
Is it possible that this interaction occurs because ADC's tend to draw in the most aggressive players? Is it because the ADC position is roughly the most critical position in the game (similar to the Quarterback in football)? Or does it occur because Support tends to draw the less aggressive more patient players who do not wish to engage in verbal conflict? I'm not sure. All I know is that when the majority of your games results in someone telling you over and over how worthless you are, you just don't want to play the game anymore, even when you win.
jumps in 1v4, I jump in and try to shield him long enough to get away, I ult to try and save myself but get rooted and killed.
