Road rage arrest: Good idea, bad idea.

A true law enforcement official would arrest the driver, impound the car, call an ambulance to make sure that anyone hurt will get the care they need. The driver will be charged with road rage in addition to all of the damage (s)he did, both property and personal.

Riot would MAYBE arrest the driver, and impound the car only if they arrest the driver. They would look at all the people hurt and tell them that it sucks to be them. The driver would only be charged with road rage, while not having any charges of property damage or personal damage. The people hurt will not be helped, and the people with totalled vehicles won't receive any compensation for damages caused by the reckless driver.

> Conclusion

Knowing how Riot only cares about punishing some griefers and not about undoing the damages said griefers cause, I am so glad that by quitting League, I have officially avoided their shitty justice system forever.

Better luck next time, homeboy 🖕

Analogy fail, because roads are different than a video game when there is a risk of car crashes?

So... what in your analogy would be the team that wins against the griefer?

Because that is, ultimately, the big problem. You cannot undo the damages without also undoing the gains. Since manual reviews can reach a conclusion fairly late you would also have to do that retroactively, which is virtually impossible because that one match partially defined their future matches, and therefore also the future matches of the players that they were matched with in their respective future games.

Oh, but you haven't heard the best part yet: Even if you were able to solve this virtually impossible task, what you'd do is set yourself up for the next, even less possible task in the case of a false positive. Because if a second review finds that the griefer was no griefer at all, you would really have to undo all the undoing… and you once again have to do so retroactively after the undone matches will have affected other games since then. And the games by the players in the matches that have been affected by the undoing.

Conclusion: Your analogy is much much simpler than the actual situation you want to apply it to.
