what kind of "cheats" does riot detect?

really trying to not get permabanned over stupid shit, and lately i've been using cheat engine to mod fallout 4 but leaving it open while i play league so i don't have to set it up again next time i wanna play fallout. would that be detected as a cheat for league? i have no idea if cheat engine can even modify league at all, but just to be safe, is there a way that riot can detect what other programs i'm running, or just anything that modifies league is noticed?

If you are truly worried about Riot detecting this and giving you a punishment, then the simple answer is to just shut off the modder. However since you are not actively modding the game League of Legends, there should be no problem at all. It is always a good idea to close things you aren't using in the off chance that it hurts your game play, but other than that it should be fine.

Hello trying too hard,

Riot games can't say exactly what they detect or it would allow people who make the cheats to get around their detection systems.

However, they have made a fairly detailed post about this in the past that sheds a lot of insight on what they consider cheating and what they don't consider cheating. Here is the post.

Here are some of the important excerpts:

  • No software should interfere directly with the in-game player experience between when you press “Play” and the end of game screen.
  • Custom models and artwork sit firmly in a “use-at-your-own-risk” category, but we’re keeping an eye on them. We can’t optimize for assets we don’t develop, and if they do become a concern in the future (ie. they provide measurable player advantage), we’ll take action based on the stance we just discussed.

Here are some other Rioter comments from that post that are of note:

  • Is there a list of third-party Applications that are okay?
  • We will not be maintaining a list of applications that might be approved or denied, because honestly, we’re just not ever going to be able to continually audit every service or function for player security. [Applies to use at your own risk]
  • Is MKLOL Okay?
  • I'm afraid not. If any tool out there has features that violate the policies, it's not allowed to use even if you turn some of those features off and use others that are technically okay.
  • Is LSI Okay?
  • That's fine, especially since LSI is totally OK to use anyways. We worked directly with them to help guide their feature set in a direction that plays nice with our policies.
  • [Note: if you want to know what LSI is, here is the link.]

I hope that helped clear up any of the questions you had. Let me know if you have any more.

While I don't know the answer to the specific mod that you have for Fallout, I have heard that people have made scripts for playing games like clicker heroes and hero clickers. All the script does is just make the mouse click while you, the player, are afk. I have heard of people getting busted for that, although I can't confirm it.
