So you say you severely punish certain offenses...

At least I remember Riot Games coming out with this 4-pillar creed of offenses that are especially toxic -- toxic enough to be considered suspension/banworthy on the spot.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't telling a player to "kill yourself with a really big knife" fall under those pillars? Because I reported a player who said that both in-game and through a personal ticket. Support assured me they investigated and took appropriate action. Yet I'm tracking his op.gg and he's been playing for over a week everyday. So obviously he didn't get suspended but likely got slapped on the wrist with some chat restriction which they really don't care about.

It's examples like these that make players lose faith in your Tribunal. And shoot, he spammed the chat with a slew of other things; you'd think he'd have been automatically suspended through your software. But he wasn't.

So again, unless I'm mistaken here, maybe try to enforce your own guidelines more strictly, especially on offenses like these which are actually a big deal and keep players like that out of the game. Granted he wasn't flaming me, but listening to all that nonsense got me irritated. No, muting players isn't such great advice unless your objective is to flat-out remove global/team text chat from the game. Otherwise, I'd have never known about him flaming and obviously he wouldn't have been caught otherwise because your system didn't do jack about it despite him cussing our teammate out like 80% of the time. Pick your poison but at least be consistent.

Wishing death onto another player is against the zero-tolerance policy due to its severity. The community and Riot only advise to mute players so you don't have to tolerate any more abuse and keeps the game moving forward. It is the best advice because if you don't mute them you'll be distracted from what the game was actually made for. That's playing the game and playing with the team.

You also got to realize, Riot isn't liable nor will they give out any information about a players penalty. It is fortunate and considered enough that Riot let them know that their report was heard. But you cannot expect it every time. Riot enforces as much as they can and created the IFS for that reason.

I can understand the frustration of it, but if that's all you focus on in this game is to see people punished, then there's no room to enjoy the actual game itself. I know a lot of players like the satisfaction of seeing other players getting a penalty when deserved and even when they don't, but players have to realize that there's more to this game other than seeing people get punished for their attitudes or action. You're here for entertainment and to have fun. But not at other player's expense. I would recommend try focusing on the actual game and play it for your own entertainment.

Yes, I do advise you to mute the player to prevent further distraction from you enjoying the game or focusing on the game. But that doesn't mean you should not report them. Report away, especially to those who deserve it. But don't expect an update on that player's penalty. Simply move on.

These type of chat punishments are a tad weird. They mainly track the chat logs for toxic keywords using a program of some sort rather than have a human look into the chat logs themselves. It's possible the man in question received a chat restriction or that he isn't consistently toxic enough to be reported every single game. Nonetheless, you shouldn't be on his tail about this issue and it's kinda worrying me that you're "tracking his op.gg" and taking extraordinary petty lengths to get this one guy punished.

Did you report the player for "Hate Speech"? I'm not sure exactly how the system works in this regard, but, I imagine you'd kinda have to click that box in the report options for it to actively look for those behaviors (hate speech/encouragements of self-harm). I'm not sure if the "Harassment/Verbal Abuse" option would cut it (although logically, it should), but I have the slightest feeling that certain behaviors are actually looked over differently based on which report option you chose.

As for this...

Yet I'm tracking his op.gg and he's been playing for over a week everyday.

That's bad practice. Why waste your time stalking someone who you're not likely to ever see again? If you're so bent out of shape over it - or so paranoid about whether or not the system works - that you're willing to stalk and watch one player to see any indication of them being punished, I have one question for you:

Why do you even play League?
