Banned for 14 days for 2 games of being trolled?

So to get it right off I've been chat banned twice both over 5 months ago being conservative. Started playing this account again with everything going well and having friendly games with people did Provisionals and got ranked s3 everything going fine climbed to promos for gold 5 and then in two straight games get trolled, both games I got reported because I had some choice words with the other person. In all fairness my temper got the best of me but what I don't understand is why I got banned for 14 days for 2 games of some heated words in the games that are tense because of being my promos. I would've understood a chat ban but getting banned for 14 days with it notifying me of the ban while it the lobby of my last promo game which caused me to dodge and most likely lose promos. I love how the system is so bad that you get a ban from months of perfectly fine behavior for two games of being trolled during the heat of promos.

You were not banned for being trolled, you were banned for how you reacted to being trolled.

You already got 2 previous chat restrictions. Clearly that's not enough for you to change your behavior, so more severe punishment is needed.

The punishment system works in tiers.

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day ban
  • Perm ban

Anything that can get you a chat restriction can earn you a 14 day ban or a perm ban. Extreme cases of toxicity (Death threats, hate speech, etc etc) and trolling can skip you right up to the 14 day or even a permaban.

Asking for reports is considered toxic, since it only takes 1 report from you to flag the game for review. More reports don't increase the chances for punishment.

So if you get reported enough to trigger a review, and the review is found positive you get bumped up a step. You had your two chat restrictions. Now you get a 2 week ban.
