Holding lobbies hostage for primary role
TL;DR: taking a lobby hostage should be punished without having to play the game out with a troll.
I'm sure many of you have experienced it: someone in a ranked champ select demands whatever happens to be their primary role (in my most recent encounter, it was mid). If they are refused then they threaten to troll (again, in my case he threatened to go AP Kindred top). I know that the player wanted to get someone to dodge so that he could get his role without demanding, but I also knew that he would more than likely carry out his threat if the lobby wasn't dodged (he had already locked in as kindred). So I waited until the last second, took screenshots of the chat, and dodged so that I could get into a better lobby and avoid the annoyance.
I then write up a report on the support site, making sure to fully explain the situation and include the screenshots and send it in. I've seen posts about this type of thing before where riot simply brushes the report aside, saying that the player should have played the game and reported the player afterwards. I don't know how much I or anyone else can emphasize this to RIOT: THIS IS A TERRIBLE RESPONSE. Players that hold lobbies hostage in this way are clearly circumventing the autofill system disgustingly, and in many cases they get away with it because there's no way to report within lobby and even when players go out of their way to help improve the community, their time and efforts are wasted because RIOT simply ignores the problem that so many people are bringing up.
The reason I'm posting this here is because the rioter that responded to my report recommended that I make a new thread about this because it might gain traction and attention. I hope it does because this type of behavior is plainly disgusting and should be punished harshly. The people who Dodge these lobbies shouldn't be penalized because they are unwilling to force their teammates through such an awful experience (that will likely result in a larger loss than the alternative)
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this, and I hope that you have a better experience than I did.
