Got Honor 0? Might as well get a new account

This is just a bitching post so yall are aware, but about 8 months ago i got a 10 chat restriction, got honor 0, and slowly climbed (through being a generally decent guy and a fuck lot of honors) to honor 1 on my last checkpoint. Ive been at that checkpoint for the last 4 fucking months, and yes i did get a consistent amount of honors, and no i didnt flame anyone. Today, i got into two games where there was some jackass the ENTIRE LOSING GAME flaming someone. I stepped in. Im now honor 0 again with a 10 chat restriction because i called the guy a asshole. Incredible. Im just gonna buy a new account at this point. But yea, so yall are aware, you get honor 0, you have no honor for 9+ months minimum, JUST because you didnt win the popularity contest that league is now so the dude whos legit flaming everyone is suddenly a victim xD. Anyhow see you on the rift guys just under a new name :)

They have or are going to change the time it takes to get back up in honor from honor 0

Why isn’t my honor level going up yet? I’ve played many games and have been honored many times. Everyone’s a little different, so bear with me. A lot of folks around the world have already dinged Honor level 3, or at least one of the checkpoints on the way there. If you haven’t reached those milestones yet, you’re probably not too far off.

Now, if you’re in the Honor doghouse because of a penalty, it can take a little longer to move on up. We’ve actually been looking at this experience closely, and decided it was a bit too harsh. So over the next few weeks, Honor should be a bit more forgiving on the reclimb. To be clear, penalties work just the same, but the Honor reclimb will get a bit less steep.

We’ll for sure let you know when this change to reclimbs ships over in the patch notes.

This is not true. There are multiple cases of people even recently coming to the boards and confirming that they've climbed from dishonorable back to level 2 in a matter of a couple months.

As Daenrys said below, they are going to make the climb slightly faster - but your issue wasn't the fact that the climb was slow. It's likely that, as evidenced by your eventual repunishment, your behavior likely didn't improve as much as you thought it did.

I'd strongly advise you to not buy an account, as you're just going to be in the same position when it is permanently banned - either for botting or being sold. If you want to throw money at it none of us can stop you though.

Super high possibility that you were toxic in your games during your climb out of H1.

Which is would explain why you got chat restricted.

Personally, I would make a judgement call based on how much "stuff" the account has.

With lots of "stuff" unlocked, worthwhile to "reform" the account.

With very little "stuff" unlocked, level up a new account.

Buying an account seems dumb, unless you don't mind spending money over and over.
