LP Penalties for Leaving in Champ Select

I find the penalty for leaving during champ select to be a bit unfair. If I am aware there is a troll or just a bad team composition to matchup against I don't see why I should be punished for making the decision to not play a match that I will not enjoy. For example, in a select I just left, the opposing team had a yasuo, yi and a good front line. My team decided to pick squishy champions and our midlaner chose lucian against yasuo. That is literally setting us up for failure. Yet I get penalized for not wanting to deal with trolls. I think this should be changed, I understand the risks of people simply dodging all the time with no penalties in place but better that than dealing with trolls or terrible team comps trying for a win and to avoid tilt.

If you think losing that whole 3 LP for dodging a game is what's keeping you from climbing, then you're never going to climb.

EDIT: Breaking queue needs to be discouraged. People will dodge for any sort of reason if it's not penalized. Oh, don't like the matchup? Quit. Oh, my pick got banned? Quit. Random "trolls" (whatever definition is being used at the time)? Quit.

This is how we get unhealthy matchmaking and people bitching that they can't get into games.

Champion select is part of the game. If your team is put at a disadvantage during champion select, that's a loss. The penalty is there to discourage exactly the behavior you're displaying.

No, they need to keep those in place or people would dodge without a care in the world. You could leave for the smallest thing you didn't like. There needs to be some kind of setting there that keeps in your mind "If I dodge, this will happen... Is it worth it?"

Besides, one dodge in a day isn't going to hurt since it's 3LP. Even the second at 10LP isn't much. Better to lose those small amounts than if you actually do go into the game where you think you'll lose, end up losing and could be 20+ LP lost.

They actually tried that a few years ago. Queue times skyrocketted due to dodges.

"or just a bad team composition to matchup against" Imo they should just give leavers during cs a full loss. You dodge cause you think you will loose, so why not give you a full loss since you save the time of loosing the game.
