Surprised I got a 10 day chat ban

I pride myself in being a friendly player who never blames or flames teammates. Been playing since season 1 and gotten nothing, but all of the sudden I got a 10 game chat ban. I know for a fact that I got reported by 3 teammates for several different things including being afk (which I never was), and I was sure the system like usual would see that I was in the right and my angry teammates were in the wrong. But guess I was the wrong one somehow. I guess defending yourself from teammate's insults gets you chat banned now. Please tell me how I got a 10 game chat ban while the people who flamed me got nothing. Also I was like 3/5 this game I didn't even do that bad.

Also I said they were delusional at the end since they kept claiming that I was griefing

I believe Riot said report calling = chat bannable. Who knows.

I personally think the whole reporting thing is toxic as fuck. Shit talking is part of video gaming... has been since the 1990's.

There's a difference between defending yourself and retaliating as countering them with negativity. Defending yourself properly by the policy standards is by asking them to stop or simply mute them.

Threatening to report or asking for it them is considered harassing by policy standards. So what you did by asking report those players is just as bad as them being as toxic to you. Greatly frown upon. Same severity as toxicity.

Also, it wasn't for one game, because this proves you've done it consistently. That's how the system works. Because telling people to report other players isn't a positive nor friendly. So if you pride yourself in that, then do it properly. Ask them to stop or say sorry or whatever it takes to get them to stop or mute them.

There is no such thing as a "chat ban" or a chat restriction that spans days.
