@RIOT Is a simple keybind bot considered cheating?

Some context:

You can't set keybindings for certain actions, for example the price left for shop items. You always have to open the shop and alt click the item u want to purchase.

Doing that manually in the heat of battle is dangerous to say the least, but even without any battles, this is just time inefficient, but you sometimes have to do it even if you could do so many other things like pinging objectives, coordinating ganks etc.

Therefore I wanted to create a small clickbot that automatically does:

p -> alt + left click on the currently selected shop item -> p

to ping that rapidly.

The tool would not be used for in combat advantages and I would probably write it within something like Autohotkey, so no .dll tinkering or modifying game files.

Am I violating any rules if I do that?

Basically, if the tool you use allows you to do something that you cannot do using the client itself, then it is very possible it will be considered an unfair advantage.

It violates the rules, but they probably won't ban you for it.

you know right-click will buy the item right?

Having it Ping rapidly would technically be in violation because its akin to a turbo button (performing 1 action repeatedly)

But i think you should be fine if you map alt-left click to 1 button, as youre still maintaining the 1-1 action rule.

I wouldn't risk it - generally the view is if it allows you to do more than one thing with one button press then it gives you an advantage and is not allowed. Rebinding or unbinding keys is okay, but not macros.
