Got Banned for reporting intentionally feeding trollers and asking others to report them.

In the last game i played(THE ONLY GAME I PLAYED TODAY), we had an intentionally trolling Cassiopeia and she refusing to help or even respond to anything the team had to say or ping for. And i voiced my opinion about it in both team and all chat. Asked for other to help report her. I could have been nicer, sure, but i wasn't swearing, i wasn't running it down mid, i wasn't trolling in any way. I was trying my hardest to do anything. After about 10-15 minutes of trying to help as best i could. Cass still trolling, and following me doing it. Thresh said he didn't care about cass or me and told me to afk Continuously. Like.... Nothing is more toxic, or tilting than being told to AFK because you are being trolled... I PLEADED for all chat, and the enemy team to help me report her, because thresh wasn't going to, and no one on my team said anything all game... EVERYONE IN THE COMMUNITY IS SCARED TO TYPE ANYTHING IN GAME EXCEPT ME. How is that fun for anyone? AND ITS BECAUSE IF WE TYPE, WE GET JUDGED, AND WE GET CUT. And we just get shoved off into the punished section with the rest of the toxic typers.

I realize that banning doesn't happen without previous punishment, and i use to be pretty toxic, but after my main account got banned in season 4 i really tried to turn it around. But i have been previously punished for the same type of incident like this... and its frankly ridiculous. This time I got punished about 1:35 seconds after the game ended, and frankly that itself seems suspicious, and feels automated. i mean i read fast, but less than 2 minutes for punishment to take place, after 1 maybe 2 people look at the chat history and decide... personally i called bull.

Maybe I'm wrong, and this community really doesn't want people to type, or voice their opinions. And does want Actual Toxic, Intentionally ruining the fun for others. If so, then i for sure dont belong, and i will be parting with this last punishment, cause After 7 years of over 4 accounts all Gold or silver, and my Main account TheCzexican. And Over ~$3000 of my own money on skins, and new champions, because frankly i loved league of legends, and i would give anything to get my account back. But Not if it means we have no choice or voice in what happens. I'm Done

P.s And I would also like to point out that i was premade grouped with multiple people IRL for the games that i played before this game. So i have no idea how i can be punished for this 1 incident after so long of no problems, and i even got my Honor unlocked and i think i had 1 stage on it as well. I am just so confused

For starters, the IFS doesn't care how many reports are filed against a person. One report alone has the same impact as nine, and vice-versa. You don't need more reports to get someone punished - you just need one. So calling for other people to report someone, regardless of whether or not the person actually deserves to be reported, can be counted as harassment - since it's ineffectual, and can really just be summed up as targeting a person to be harassed in the worst cases.

Second;

There are two things to be said about this.

First; maybe everyone else didn't say anything, not out of fear of being punished, but out of knowing that addressing or talking about a troll only serves to feed the troll, and they didn't want to give the troll incentive to do more?

Second; you're judged not for the fact that you typed, but for what you type. If what you type is inflammatory, harassing, and exceedingly negative, then, yeah, you're probably going to get punished.

This time I got punished about 1:35 seconds after the game ended, and frankly that itself seems suspicious, and feels automated.

Yeah. It's automated. If you got punished for a chat-related offense, it's 99.9% certain that the punishment was issued by the Instant Feedback System.

Maybe I'm wrong, and this community really doesn't want people to type, or voice their opinions.

You're allowed to voice your opinions and type, you just have to not break the rules in so doing.

So, if your opinions are inflammatory, harassing, and detrimental? People probably don't want to hear it.

If you want some real input on your behavior, I'd suggest presenting your chat log(s) for peer review.

So i have no idea how i can be punished for this 1 incident after so long of no problems, and i even got my Honor unlocked and i think i had 1 stage on it as well. I am just so confused

The IFS punishes on a basis of consistency and severity. More severe, egregious offenses (flaming, insults, etc.) will net faster punishment, while lighter, less severe punishments (defeatism, detrimental arguing, etc.) require consistency for it to warrant punishment.

So, if you got punished from just one game (which is unlikely, even in the more severe cases), then your chat would have been particularly aggressive.

Additionally, your Honor has no bearing on whether or not you get punished. It doesn't matter if you're Honor Level 0 or Honor Level 5, if you break the rules, you can be punished.

The following is a set of responses to individual sentences within your post, in written order and not organized by concept.

When you encounter a troll: Mute, Report, Move On.

"Voicing your opinion" about it in both team and all is just encouragement to the troll. We do not want trolls. We do not want people to encourage the trolls.

One report does everything that 30 reports would do. There is no need for anyone else to report someone who is misbehaving. Any report is enough.

When you made all of your accounts, you signed an agreement with Riot to behave in a certain manner while on their servers. When other people break THEIR agreement with Riot, it does not invalidate your agreement.

Imagine if someone decided to spend all game accusing you of trolling, and asking everyone to report you. It would be mildly annoying. That's why it's punishable. If asking for reports was not punishable, everyone would be able to do it without repercussion.

If you've been punished for this before, you should know that it's against the rules.

Yes. The IFS is automated. It is faster, less variable, and can access the full history of an account, which are all improvements over the Tribunal.

We don't want trolls. That's part of the reason that encouraging trolls is punished.

Time spent playing, or money spent does not provide an exception to the rules. This is good, because otherwise certain accounts would be immune to punishment. That wouldn't be fair.

It takes three to six months of regularly playing with good behavior to reduce one penalty tier. After a 14 day ban, you're supposed to be on your best behavior. Continuing to encourage trolls isn't something you should do after being punished for that reason. If your last punishment was on December 24, that is nowhere near enough time to show reform.

If you had questions or concerns with the IFS, the best time to address them would have been with your first chat restriction. If you want assistance in understanding or avoiding the IFS, there are people here willing to assist.

Bullshit. I'm not afraid to type, because i know i wont get anything if i dont act like a jerk. I can decide not to act like a jerk, and boom, no problems whatsoever.

Dont projet your own inability to use the chat without being toxic onto others...

In the last game i played(THE ONLY GAME I PLAYED TODAY), we had an intentionally trolling Cassiopeia and she refusing to help or even respond to anything the team had to say or ping for.

There's nothing (kill map, death timer, cs, kda, item build, damage dealt, etc.) to indicate that the Cass was INTENTIONALLY feeding. As this is a normal game, I could not view the replay. Refusing to help is subjective (split pushing is a thing. NOT stupidly joining 1v5, 2v3, 2v4, 2v5, etc. is a thing) and no one is required to respond to anything the team had to say or ping for is thing (because /muteall is not punishable in any way).

Are you sure you didn't get banned for flaming someone who simply got outplayed by a Darius and ganked by J4? You know Darius snowball in lane like a mofo right?

Let me ask you this. If you take away the fact that the Cass was NOT INTENTIONALLY feeding in your title and post, what do you left with asking others for reports on such a player???

Personally, I think this reply is well formatted and decently right, however, I do feel anyone should be allowed to say whatever they want. everyone has text, and everyone has "Mute" I also think that a great addition to the game would be a tab in chat to let you know that someone has muted you. This takes away the power of the person who is trying to be toxic, while also allowing cases like this to be alright. Really there is no perfect line or system that can be applied to chat. At the end of the day, we have to make the system care less about chat because, in a perfect world, enemies should be fine hating each other, someone steals your lp?, steal theyre pride and make the win not so saticefying for them. this can be applied to your situation, we cant change the system as players per-se, but we can make very good comebacks or insults. sincerly.... the Teemo main.
