Enable IFS on Boards

Anyone else sick of the people who come to this board to openly gloat and sneer?

Riot should enable IFS for the boards, and tie it to their in-game accounts. No more toxic Honor 4 checkpoint 3 players telling everyone to uninstall the game! Would be even better if Riot implemented this without telling anyone and they suddenly lost their Honor 4/5 due to their toxic boards conduct 😈

To my knowledge, they've never tied anything related to the boards to in-game accounts, so I don't think it's going to happen.

The only way you'd know someone's honor anyway is if they told you, and even then they could just be saying that. If you're finding comments that are rude/offensive, please do report them.

I'm just going to point out that you technically could have discussions in game that would get you punished on the Boards. You could, for example, carry on about politics, or religion, or other subjects to your heart's content in game and not be punished for it.

I understand why certain things aren't allowed in one situation and allowed in another. I have no problems with that. For that reason I think the IFS would be a bad solution. You wouldn't be able to point out where people went wrong in their chat logs (like explaining that "kys" is bad), and it's unlikely to stop the gloating you're talking about (they could just as easily switch to another phrase, like "another one bites the dust").

I'm open to the idea of behavior on the Boards impacting your Honor, but I'm not sure how it should be implemented. If you can lose Honor on the Boards it would only make sense that you can gain Honor here too, but how would that work out? Who would say something is bad enough to warrant removing Honor, the mods? People complain about them enough as is, letting them impact end of season rewards would cause a riot. Making another IFS seems tricky because there is a lot more to discuss here.

Without a better option or some solutions, I'm going to lean towards "no" for this idea.

Boards and in game rules are different though. You already get punishments if you break the boards rules,it makes no sense to give more punishments to in game accounts.

That's like riot punishing your in game account when you break the rules on Reddit.

I don't know that I support this initiative, however I do agree that there are some forum toxic players who flame as much as other player who gets chat restricted or worse! I think a bit of kindness and moderation would do them well. :)
